I completely disagree with what shearer says, if they lost Salah who do they have to step in? Lallana has been injured and out of form, Ings? Solanke? woodburn? when they had coutinho they could at least re-jig their midfield. Son has been affective playing up front for us and if Kane is out for a long period I think Llorente (with an extended run) would show his worth. Outside of pools current front 3 they don’t have any decent back ups

You make a good point. I'd forgotten that Coutinho isn't there anymore. Their 'trident' of false 9's wouldn't cope with a significant injury to Salah. And on reflection, I think we have already shown we can cope without Kane with Son playing up top. I stand by my Chelsea comment though. Without Hazard they'd be in much bigger trouble!

I think I'd like United to beat Liverpool as Liverpool have an easier run in, United will drop points anyway.
By that logic, wouldn't you rather Liverpool win? We only need to finish above one or the other, so if being more likely to finish above Man Utd means Liverpool remain a little out of reach, then so be it.

I mean yes we should be aiming to finish above both, but our ultimate aim is CL football first and foremost (now the league has gone, obviously).

Conte and Chelsea are getting ripped a new arsehole by Carragger and Neville on MNF.

The smart money will be on us to pip Chelsea to a top 4 finish and rightly so. We are a far different beast to them ATM and we should be confident going into the final run of games. But things can change quickly in football and they are more than capable of pulling their finger out of their arse at the Bridge.

Just need to keep our heads. And learn from experience.

I’ve got a sneaky feeling (and no doubt wrong) that palace are going to help us out and get something against Utd tonight

I don't think it's impossible. They gave us a hard game. But it's much more likely that utd will win comfortably.

Said it very quietly but if Man Utd don't win this game and they draw with Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime then we could be 2nd come Sunday night

Stranger things have happened

I want to finish above Liverpool though more than Man U.
I'll take top 4 above Arsenal and Chelsea.
Theres only 1 team in London, 1 team in London.
Lets not be greedy ;)
Finishing top 4 in a season away from home is a massive achievement. As is winning fa cup and champions league. Ok that is greedy.

Smart money? We’re 1/5 to finish top 4 and Chelsea are 9/4...

I don't want to write Chelsea off completely but they are way off the pace on current form and we shouldn't fear them at all when we go to Stamford Bridge

Utd look like they are collectively carrying too much weight. Love it...
