Not sure he was actually sacked. He signed a one year deal in Aug 2017 and the regular season just finished.

Joy to watch on the field, usually.
Pain to listen to off the field, always.

I have to say I disagree. I am with you on the quality of his play, but he has behaved in an unprofessional way tbroughout his career and should be judged on his conduct both on and off the field.

That game against Bolton for me showed when he was Spurs in his head he we awesome for us.

Ultimately we always showed the wrong ambition at that time which was due to our hand being forced. We had to sees our best players of they wanted to leave. He left a knob but for us he was an awesome player that took us up a level

He will always be remembered fondly by me for what he did with us.

But while it might not be the way Berbatov wants to play, what he is complaining about could be a perfectly viable tactic. For what its worth though David James has actually done a pretty good job of it so far, much better than Meulensteen (who has failed as a manager wherever hes been) who is probably Berba's mate considering they spent time together in Both Man Utd and Fulham.

I feel like this is quite a restrained response from Berba considering what he's being subjected to. James is a fucking tool.

His new hair is marvellous

I obviously didn’t get the memo where apparently we all now loathe Berba?!?

As a key member of the last team to win a trophy for us, and an absolutely quality player who provided many wonderful goals and moments of skill, he’ll always be one of my favourites in recent years.

Yeah, he was bit of a c**t and behaved like one when he left. We weren’t in the position we are now back then though, and he was a winner. A player of that quality was never going to hang around.

What a great player he was for spurs who i feel is in the top 5 spurs strikers since 1991. In order of quality:

5) berbatov
4) linekar
3) klinsmann
2) sheringham
1) harry kane

I agree, but I can never support a player who refuses to play. That's what pissed me off at the time. I mean, you think of all the shit Robbie Keane got for his move to Liverpool, shit he still gets to day, when he rightly deserves to be treated as much a club legend as someone like Defoe, and yet I have seen quite a few happy to give Berbatov a pass despite showing disrespect for club, manager and fans when refusing to take to the field. It's also why my opinion of Bale soured at the end when he refused to train in the last weeks or so before his move.

I don't begrudge a player wanting to play at the top of the game, and that applies to to many of our players who moved on. The players I've mentioned above, Sheringham, Modric, Kyle Walker, even the detestable Sol Campbell. But for me there is a way to go about it, and Sol Campbell, Berbatov and, to a lesser degree Bale and Modric are examples of how not to do it. I believe that if people, justifiably, want to get the knives out for Campbell then they should be consistent and recognise those times when other leaving players showed disrespect when it was unnecessary. In fact, it's that sort of disrespect that turns me off signing players like Mahrez. Sadly Berbatov's behaviour at Spurs was not isolated and he has proven in his subsequent clubs that he can be difficult and self interested, which is a personality trait that may have been what started to hinder his career at United.

100%. No idea why he's held in such a high regard after refusing to play. Scumbag imo.

I'm gonna side with Berbatov, I'll never forgive the sneaky laugh he gave as he cheated us in the semi final. Total ****.

Berbatov leaving for Fergie’s Man U is unequivocally not comparable to Sol’s departure, period.

Berbatov is allowed to say what he wants when he wants and to who he wants
