Kane missing an open goal (hard angle) and son missing that shot across goal have cost us in the end. We've been missing a lot of easy chances lately, might wake them up a bit. You just can't do that at this level

If you really believe a young team like Spurs losing by the odd goal over two legs to one of the best and most experienced teams in Europe is shameful and disgraceful, you need to recalibrate your understanding of what foorball’s all about.

The fact is, both teams deserve credit for very high quality football that few other teams could have matched.

Disgraceful my arse.

One thing that has been highlighted tonight, as good as Davies and Trips have been, we seriously need pacey fullbacks, we'll not progress with what we have currently.
I kinda agree but it also has a lot to do with positioning.

To be honest, anyone who (for some reason) reads my posts know I am one of the first to give my thoughts when I think Poch should have done something differently tactically. However we're talking about a 10 mins spell where we lost it and got ruthlessly exposed. It's not like we were clinging on for dear life. It all happened so quickly, was there really the time to react?

I dunno, a bit more contemplation and a better answer in the ratings thread later....

We are a young team and over the two legs were the better side. Unfortunately, a few lapses in concentration (what was Davies doing?) have cost us. Also shows that at the highest level you cannot spurn the chances we did in the first half. Juve had two chances and scored twice.

Overall I’m still proud of the team and just hope they can pick themselves up and we don’t have a hangover for Bournmouth. It’s very important we finish in the top four and the more experience of these games we have the better the players will game manage.

COYS!

Dier even looked at Higuain and let him
Run off him.

That looks really poor on Lloris that goal. He always gives them so much to aim at on 1 on 1’s. Seems to plant himself .

Hindsight is 20/20 and coulda, woulda, shoulda and all that bullshit but Wanyama could have come on for a tired Son at 60' followed by Lamela in for Dele who also seemed gassed

From 1-1 on this was an Italian masterclass. It was an experienced team with winners knowing what they needed to do to win the game.

We are at the same curve Man United were before they won in 99 and at the same stage City were a few years ago. Winning cups even a League Cup would change the mentality of this team.

In many ways the FA Cup takes on more importance now. Pochettino cannot put out anything other than a full strength team.

We need to win a trophy to give this team real belief. Otherwise we are this generations version of Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle. Played great football, loved by the neutral, but never won when it mattered most.

Pen to us not given (hardly mentioned by commentators)
Pen to them not given
Red card from dirty ****s missed (hardly mentioned by commentators)
Allegri got subs right, changed the game, Poch poor.
Davies switch off cost 2nd goal
Offside shot hit post and cleared by dirty **** player that shouldn't have been on pitch.

Fine margins.

More clinical in front of goal, cutting out shooting in foot lapses in defence or a competent ref and we'd probably be through.

Proud of the boys.
Its been a great run.
Lets not forget we were the best team in this game bar those 5 mins.
We weren't out played.
We are missing one of the best cbs in the league at the moment.
I think with 4 at the back you cant have your fullbacks getting caught 3/4 of the way up the pitch against quality but easy in hindsight.
On the plus side I expect to see a much stronger side against Swansea now as I was/am worried Poch will play same team as against Rochdale. If we do we'll lose.
