Another game to learn from, as we have to grow as a team and learn from these experiences. Poch will know what is needed to move forward.

Onwards and upwards.

Hard to rate the players as we should have won but buggered it up by having a bad ten mins. Son was good, Dembele not as influential, Eriksen in and out, Dele pretty involved until yellow then he disappeared. Defence was good until messed it up, Sanchez to blame, if that was Walker instead of Trippier that goal doesn't happen though.

Got to say it as it is Kane was woeful, even though he nearly scored if that was anyone else he'd have been taken off. Finishing poor, looked far to static and laboured and wasn't holding anything up. Really disappointed in him and gutted one of his worst games came in one of our biggest.

Their defense got tight to Kane, but our defense did NOT do the same to Higuain
Because we have never played man to man marking. Our defence has always been zonal. The Italians and many continental clubs are more tactical in the sense that they always assign someone to mark the star player

What does Alli offer?

The fact that he starts over the likes of Moura and Lamela is a disgrace. An absolute disgrace.

Last year Alli started and stayed on the field during bad patches and performances because he'd still pop up with a goal. I feel like Poch still has that idea in his head, when the reality is that he's no longer tucking them away.

That said, I don't think he's doing as badly as some make out.

We start with an attacking four but only two of those have a double-digit goals tally, Kane and Son. That's a bit problematic for me.

Deep breath everyone. We lost a football match. To a top team in Europe. Yeah, it hurts. But we still have a fantastic side, and not only will we be back, but we still have things to play for this season.

COYS!

Gutted. We dominated the game, but our defense switched completely off two times and our poor finishing caught up with us. We definitely created the chances to go through, but we just couldn’t finish them. Our finishing have been poor lately and unfortunately it continued today. You can’t expect to win when you fall asleep like that in defense and give away so big chances to Juventus. It was two sitters and Juventus made us pay.

My MotM was Eriksen. Son had a fantastic first half, but couldn’t keep it up in the second half. Eriksen was class through the whole match. Kane did what he could, but he didn’t look sharp. For the first time it felt like his confidence was a bit low. He fought hard, but he had a couple of times where you expected him to get a shot off, but he kinda waited too long and let the chance run out. He is usually more sharp in those moments. Dele had a great first half, actually they all did, but he faded badly in the second half. Dembele and Dier bossed the midfield in the first half, but looked more and more tired as the match went on. Dier should probably have been taken out after he had that nasty collision/fall thing. Both our CBs had one of those weird games where they are playing like a 10 the whole game except two big mistakes. Jans sliding tackle was a pen and Sanchez fucked up on the second goal. Our two wingbacks showed that they are clearly not as good as Rose or Walker. Not gonna lie i think we go through with last years Rose and Walker. They just don’t offer enough for me if we want to be a top club. Not a good game by Davies.

I thought Poch had a mare. So many of our players looked tired in the second half and he wasn’t proactive enough. Or just active when Allegri made his move. He had noticed our left side struggle and put in Liechsteiner who bossed us down that side. We just looked tired and Poch is always late with the subs. I really can’t understand why he waits so long and why we didn’t use all 3 of them. So many of our players looked tired in the second half. Dele, Son, Dier, Davies, Trippier. I really thought we would have seen Rose and Lucas, to out in some energy in the team.

This loss really hurts. We where so close to rid ourselves of the “legends” stamp, but unfortunately we bottled it again. It hurts, but it’s true. Lets hope we leave the bottles at Wembley and start anew in the new stadium.

Lamela? he was the nearest person to the ball which bounced off from the post. he could have dived in or stretched his right foot to bury it, instead, he shifted his body to accommodate to use his left foot that cost our golden chance to equalise.
Similar situation happened in the Southampton away game..please tell me why he should be ahead of Dele or Son

Lamela really didn’t do much when he came on. He had a nice dribble on the touchline, but fucked up the pass and he was close to the rebound after Kanes header. It was a nothing sub.

The tactical switch from Juve certainly had an impact and we could of done better for the second, but at this level you can't pass up that many good chances and only have a goal to show for it.

They had two proper chances and scored both.

We were the better team over both legs but unfortunately our profligacy cost us.

Nevertheless a fine effort tonight and overall an excellent European campaign that we can proud of.

Son and Eriksen were the star men tonight, but its a pity Son couldn’t convert a couple more of those chances and we'd be in the next round.

But I'll give Eriksen the MOTM, some of his passing was out of this world. First half he played a beauty into Son, and again in the second half - remember that swerving, raking daisy cutter from one side of the pitch to the other, diagonally hit into their box , what a fucking pass that was!!!!

Proud of the lads. I thought Poch made some poor decisions in game with subs. You aren’t going to get anywhere playing with attacking FBs when you have Trippier as your RB. So close but that’s football.

A tough lesson. You can’t switch off for a minute in games like these and you do so at your peril. The experienced sides will kill you off.

It’s easy when it’s raw to sit here and point the finger, at the end of the day, we put in a shift both games.

We were the far better side for 170 of the 180 minutes, and on a different day would have come away with it. It’s easy to point the finger, but we gave it our best shot. The worst part is the hope that you put into it.

Devastated mostly because we were the better side in both legs and still couldnt advance.

Thought Son, Eriksen Mousa were fantastic and i thought Vertonghen, Kane, Davies, Dele were good and all had their moments.

Defensively I felt our right side wasn't structurally sound and i felt thats what cost us, along with us not being clinical enough and some dirty dark art tricks from the Italians.

Hopefully we learn some lessons and this whole expierence fuels us for the rest of our cup run.
