Yes it is, but we fucked up tonight, no 2 ways about it. Out manovered, I hate this *plucky Spurs good football shit* we had a chance to put a marker down, but literally done the same thing when we had the chance to prove the doubters wrong.

What a shit morning. Just walked out of a 1.5 hour torture session with the dentist.

Shattered but it is starting to sink in. We played 15 minutes of terrible defending and paid the ultimate price. Against the more experienced teams, you cannot afford to do that.

To the game itself, we were in complete control before the first goal. It looked as if Juve were on the canvas and that they were getting frustrated and I thought that they would not have finished the game with 11 men. As soon as we conceded the second goal, Poch was too slow to react by not bringing on Llorente straight away. He was proving to be a handful for Chellini and Barzagli when he later came on. Poch also had to throw the kitchen sink at getting an equaliser and the fact we finished the game with one sub left, reflects poorly on him.

To gain experience, you need to learn from days like this. This will hurt for a long time but we will be better for it.

Must bounce back against Bournemouth and ensure we finish in the top 4. Would love the FA Cup, but finishing top 4 is the number one priority.

9 days until Swansea game. Players need to get angry that we went out even though we arguably were better side over two legs. Take it out on Bournemouth and Swansea and get us into a semi final of the FA cup at our temporary home where in recent times we've been wonderful. Don't give a fuck if it means we'll suddenly have a winning mentality and it'll be catalyst to winning the league or not, I want to see Poch and these players winning a trophy. Not because I'm bored of this bottling tag or media rhetoric that we need to start winning things but because I want to see my team lift a cup. One we haven't in 27 years and only the 3rd I will have seen that I can remember. Time is now to start collecting those medals and push on, let's not fuck it up.

Lets put this into perspective, finalist last year, and we out played them for most of the ties, and are gutted to go out, its progress and we all should be proud of the boys, lets not do a woolwich and meltdown, we are far classier than that. Sadly at this level fine margins are costly, and we can't even switch off for a minute, the team will all learn from this

Use this as motivation & go aggressive & hard at the fa cup.
Progress in CL, top 4 & fa cup win would be a beautiful season & all whilst playing away from WHL.

No he wouldn't, where is this idea that Bill didn't want to win trophies come from? It came from fans happy where we are, it's not that we lost tonight but that we didn't have to lose. We weren't the plucky underdog, she should have won. Bill would not be proud.
Are you on your Ouija board again? Just wondering if you have a direct line to Bill.

Perspective is a rare commodity here.

Not long back home having had some time to think.

we played really well but I felt in the first half not taking our chances might cost us. I don't buy the we should shut up shop narrative after the first goal because we are not Juve and not built to defend for an hour. No attack is our best option. The truth is around the time we conceded the goals our intensity had dropped off and I was worried as they were starting to be first to the ball. Now to dominate a team like Juve for the whole game is not going to happen but when they were on top we needed to drop back then and defend for our lives.

Can't really fault much else but the result. Immense improvement from last season as we have not just gone toe to toe with highly experienced sides like Dortmund, R Madrid and Juventus but have outplayed them. Other teams get away with losing games and are still in the competition but sadly our only defeat means we are out. Proud that we played some great football tonight and look forward to winning the competition next year when maybe we get an easy group and the likes of Basle or Porto in the knockout

I’m surprised by the reaction on here tonight... I normally avoid this place after a defeat because of the childish meltdowns that often occur.

Im gutted but also proud.... I came on here expecting to read similar comments. I don’t think we can blame anyone or anything for tonight. We are still a little naive when it comes to the business end of European football and we came up against war torn veterans. We will learn but it takes time.

Massive game at the weekend though to get us back on the bike, and then the Swansea game... COYS

I love the guy but for fucks sake. Poch has got to fucking learn already. It's fucking insane that he hasnt. He bottled it today just as bad as the did. Was a complete bottle job from top to bottom. Abysmal.

Would like to know how his assistants play a part in subs...do they suggest? Does he listen? Just seems to be a collective inactive-ness around how and when we make in game changes
Hey bro not tying to be a hater, I love Spurs, but lets be honest we have:

Toby, Rose, Wanwayna & Moura who are world class + Everyone who played tonight. I think we need another 3/4 players of top quality to add to the squad. Players like Rashford.....

If Danny Rose would have just shaken the doorman's hand then none of this would have happened and we would have won the match.

When's the last time a team won the CL when they hadn't won a single thing, not one cup for ten years? Push it further when's the last time a team even reached a final with that record of success as a club. To even get to the final we'd be a freak, only successful clubs reach champions league finals. We can have fun in it but if we ever want to aspire to win or get to a final it's likely we're going to have to start small and build up to it. Every ex pro says we need to start winning things, anything, but we keep dismissing it, they know what it takes to win leagues or CLs far more than your average fan.

Well that was disappointing. My long unbeaten run attending is now over. We played pretty well for the most part, but they blew us away for those 10 minutes; which really shows the margins at the top level.

A good learning curve for the team. I'd love it if we could win the FA cup.

Did anyone else see Juve fans in the home sections? There were a couple of pockets near us and pretty sure it kicked off after their 2nd.

Never. Liverpool hadn’t won the league in 15 years when they won - that’s as much of an outlier as you’ll fine. Pretty sure every other champions league winner won their domestic league either that season or in the ones Immediately before or after
