Maybe I’m a defeatist or I’m just missing something. We’ve been sensational in the Champions League. We walked the hardest group to come top and largely outplayed one of the toughest most experienced and successful teams in the World.

Sorry but today I’m celebrating the fact that we have now become one of the most respected teams in Europe. That’s the here and now, not tomorrow.

Thanks Poch & the team.

Not a dig at you personally but this is classic loser mentality.

Sebo_sek's post was pushing it a bit, but I don't think it's unfair to say that in the last month or six weeks that Kane has not been at his clinical best in front of goal, and he's missed quite a few chances that we've just come to expect to hit the back of the net.

As I said in the ratings, I was more disappointed with his work rate. I thought he had a good half hour as a focal point, played a nice pass (again) for the goal, but second half the front four as a collective seemed to drop and when we needed people leading and defending from the front this didn't happen. This is the sort of thing where Poch shouldn't just allow things to drift, we're set up to press and act as one compact unit our whole game revolves around it, if that stops happening then, especially in the biggest of games, he needs to be ultra fucking ruthless from now on - if they've lost focus and stopped pressing (whoever the player is) then you get on their backs about it until they do or you make the appropriate changes to get on fresh legs to press or to solidify our shape.

Still devastated.
We "deserved" to win against Juve.

Maybe, when time comes, we can take som positives from this.
We are getting experienced in CL. We no longer need to fear any opponent. We know that if we are playing our best we can beat anyone.

All I said is that higuain scored his 1 chance and they are through. Kane didn't and we're out. Smashing records doesn't win us jack shit. In games like this one you get only so many chances If you don't take them...
The fact that Harry is breaking records doesn't change the fact that his conversion rate is nothing to write home about. In the prem it's 102 goals after 260 shots on target with a massive 65 big chances missed (premier league site). That means his team is providing him with magnificent service. In the CL it was 27 shots and 7 goals this season, just over 25%. In both legs he scored 1, higuain scored 3. Can that be argued?

Let me stress again I am not anti Kane But what I am, is pro Spurs. Kane is trusted to deliver when it is needed the most. He is meant to be our leader which means come through in dire times. He did neither of the two last night, regardless of how much he is cherished. It is a tough but objective truth.

What a load of absolute horseshit.
You’re acting like no striker has ever missed a big chance in a big game?

Your example is IMMEDIATELY flawed by the fact Higuain missed an even easier chance in the first leg, when he hit the post.

Oh, and he missed a penalty too.

Harry missed a chance, but he did brilliantly to get round Chiellini and Buffon in first place.

Get a fucking grip, mate.

Allegri got his revenge after we dumped his AC Milan team out in 2011.

I am as calm as they get. You on the other hand have come across a bit unstable. Relax. Kane's not your family is he?

Wow you are right - I know he has been outstanding for years now but he had a quiet game last night so he's useless. I'm so glad you have told me this otherwise I would have thought Kane was the best striker we have had in decades. What a bloody fool I have been. Thanks mate.

Reading without actually trying to understand what is being said must be tricky.

Also now slightly concerned if we had mourinho or conte defending a lead we may have done it

I agree, I believe they would have seen what was happening after the first time we got overwhelmed before they scored, and made changes to counter Juve. However, I prefer our manager and hope he learns from it.

No, I am a Spurs fan and will look to support our players where I feel it is due. Your criticism of Harry is ridiculous.

If all our fans were like you, there is no doubt he would be off to Real Madrid soon and I wouldn’t blame him.

You sum up perfectly what is wrong with modern day football fans. I am just gutted we now have this type amongst our fan base.

It’s what made me so pleased to be Spurs rather than a Gooner.

Can’t you go and support then? You’d fit in a lot better over there.

Exactly - acting like petulant children because a result goes against us.

Poch has been amazing for this club and brought some staggering football.

Sometimes in football you need that bit of luck and unfortunately we didn’t have that yesterday. Make no mistake, Juve very very lucky to go through and my guess is they are out next round.

Let’s build on this and get 2nd and really go for it FA cup.

Very proud of everything at this club from top to bottom.
Agree and probably like most of us today I'm dissapointed naturally but more importantly I do not feel ashamed like I have in the past in the dark days.
We are getting closer and imo we do need to win something soon which hopefully might be the cup this year I would settle for that.

FA cup and 2nd now. Was really dispondant last night but had a sleep before posting. Hopefully the players and Potch learn from this for next year, like we did from last year. But no excuses for not going for the FA Cup now. We are hopefully mentally stronger now and can kick on for the rest of the season.

In other news Chiallini (sp) is my most hated man in the world after the 2 games. Im not even 'hard' but his grown man diving/being a dick...ugh. Id punch him. "OHHH THE DARK ARTS"
Cheating constantly. And Dele gets shit.

"It’s the history of Tottenham, they always create many chances and score so much but at the end they miss something to arrive in the end,” he grinned. “The history is important.”

Chiellini

I think Chiellini has a point, it's almost like getting to the champions final twice in three years but losing in the final. Twice. Just missing that something at the end.

Enjoy your tin pot league that your not even winning squidward
