Aurier and Rose need a run of games. If they get them they'll clean a lot of this crap up. They can do things Davies and Trippier just can't.

Just because he scores doesn't erase the fact both he and the team have been shit for the 30+ mins before that, we have been utterly abysmal so far, much better since the goal though I will admit.

It's a match day thread, do you not want people to comment on the game as it is being played? Shall we just do what RAWK does and lock the threads until halftime because some people can't bear to see any criticism being leveled at the team? Out of sight out of mind, I suppose.

Not going to bother asking for Lucas to be brought on at half time. I say it every game and it never happens. Bring on the 80th minute appearance.

Poch just needs to keep Eriksen in the middle and let him run the show. We look much better when he is on the ball than Wanyama and Dembele. 4-3-3 gives a bit more room to the front 3 when Eriksen comes deep to get the ball. Opens up the game more with Sons runs and Lamela have more room in the middle(instad of running into Eriksen when Eriksen plays further forward).

We were shocking for the first 25 but grew into it, we can win this but they will come out firing again and we have to be ready to see that out and then go again for the last 1/2 hr and beat them...

We really need a win here today - it would be shocking to drop any points today after the weekend so far so please spurs get those 3 pts, 1-2 is fine, just get the 3 pts.

We improved as the half went on, especially after we equalised. It seems that Victor went and sat in the middle of our two CBs more

Of course he has produced some mind-boggling flaws. But it baffles me that people don't see his strengths, too. Aurier, for a debut season in the PL, has actually fared quite good, and I for one will hands down give him resounding support based on what he has shown so far. He is in the making to become great.

I think Poch needs to make a decision on who is his first choice full back (both sides really) and the stick with them for the rest of the season with minimal rotation. Then we will see how good Aurier can be. Like you say it is his first season so plenty of upside still.

Ultimately our game has raised so much the last 3/4 years that even a shit performance has us level at HT, away from home, dominating possession, having lost our best player and against a decent organised team. Gotta be encouraged by that!

Shh people you can't criticize Lamela. He tries soooo hard.
Why would people criticize the one player who wasn't playing when we looked absolutely fucking shit for the first 35 minutes?

I mean, they could criticize every other player today, because they were on the pitch when we played like stinking dried out dogshit yet they go for the one player who wasn't part of the shitshow that was getting outplayed by fucking Bournemouth.

I just had to get that off my chest, not necessarily the Lamela thing, I just had to vent after watching our players fail to hit 3 passes in a row for the first 35 minutes

Exactly. How ppl can't see that a run of games gives them rhythm, confidence and better sync with their teammates is beyond me.

I like Davies, he's been excellent.
I like Trippier, think he's been dependable.
But both of them have flaws and lack the athleticism needed at times.
Rose was better before he got injured and I'm convinced (have been told to expect) Aurier to get much better.

On current form davies and trips are better, but I think serge and rose have a higher ceiling. Both have pace for a start. They both need to sort their form out though and practice their crossing.
Tbh I no longer know who are our best full backs, none have been consistent this season, a good game followed by a poor one, we could definitely strengthen in this area in the summer and move a couple on

Credit to Bournemouth, who came out all bright eyed and bushy tailed but It's staggering how man games we come out like a teenager who's lost a drinking competition with his dad's mates the night before and has ended up having to drink 10 shots of the the Albanian home distilled vodka chased down with a mint liqueur.

Aurier did put in a decent cross for the goal, but generally he and Rose's crossing has been pitiful, and we have wasted several good opportunities to put balls into their box with people waiting in there.
