Is it just me or have we been much better since Kane went off?

Maybe the players are so focused on helping him get scoring again that it’s made us too predictable going forward?

Probably just pure coincidence but there is no doubt we have been better since he went off.
I guess Bournemouth would have focused their preparations on nullifying Kane, and probably did not have a plan in place for what transpired.

Even Henry is laughing at Sissoko (his touch prior to releasing Trippier for our fourth).

That said, I thought he was very good when he came on.

Can't say I enjoyed watching quite a large portion of that match but surely the most impressive thing Poch has done is to change the mentality so much that I am waiting for us to come back and win - even when Kane got injured.

I wish there was a yawn button for these kind of posts.

I guess you knew all along we would win 4-1? I guess when we went 1-0 down and were looking like we could be in serious danger of conceding another you knew we would win 4-1?

Aurier and Rose both had bad games, we didn't play well really today at all and the Kane injury is a huge blow to us.

What got us through this game today was the teams mentality which I have to say was exceptional, especially after the champions league exit and going 1-0 down.

You taking reactions based on the game as it was being played and judging people based on their reaction in the moment is ridiculous and means nothing ultimately but you know, if it makes you feel better feel free to have your ”told you so” moment mystic meg.
What is ridiculous is people melting down well before the end of the match, especially when there was lots of time to come back and win the game. People should be patient, wait until the game is done and then moan if we've lost and certain players/the manager haven't performed well.

But if you prefer over the top declarations of doom half way through a match, all I can say is knock yourself out.

Regarding Kane. He got injured pretty much the same time last season and he missed 3 league games. We won all of them. Admittedly we didn't play Chelsea but I still think we can manage.
Could be a blessing in disguise against Chelsea. Son's pace could be more useful and it'll allow us to pack another midfielder in there.

Go pour yourself a cold one, mate.

We don't have to be 'mystic megs' to know that this team is never down and out and they deserve a bit of leeway. Yes, we weren't at our best. Yes, it was frustrating to watch. Yes, certain players did not play to their full potential. But people need to learn to stop with the OTT comments. Just be calm about it, this team have an incredible knack of getting back on top.

We'd have lost that game under previous regimes.

This thread becomes almost toxic if we have the gall to concede a goal or play less than at maximum potential

This thread becomes toxic because certain posters are more focused on having digs at people because of their reaction during the game and handing out an ”I told you so” than actually discussing our play at that moment.

I honestly don't believe many here have even been to a football match because they must cry tears of sadness if they do.

We might as well just lock the match threads like I said earlier because it will never change, people will always have a reaction during a game because football is an emotion-based sport and it seems some people want to desperately remove that element because it hurts their feelings.

Thank god these people don't police football grounds, they would be soulless.

It's not a secret that Kane has been a little out of form for a few weeks now.

Son has been scoring more goals, and I think he's about as good as we could ever do as a second striker to play if Kane gets injured. His finishing can be equally as lethal. Plus Moura could probably then step into the side with Lamela.
Still a good attack.

I think what was said above about teams basically doubling up on Kane is probably true. He gets marked out of games a lot of the time, now. Still incredible, but he hasn't been his usual self just lately.

Great weekend - Spurs win and move above Liverpool, the worlds biggest twat in my housemate is getting evicted (he hasn’t been told yet but myself, my partner and the other housemat have) and to top it off he’s a Liverpool fan
Go and tell him now, make it a truly terrible weekend for him.
And film it of course.

Well I never went OTT myself, I said we would win 3-1, I am talking about how it’s perfectly normal to criticise moments throughout a game.

Son will get all the plaudits for his goals but Erik Lamela was unreal.

He plays so many clever passes and always pops up in good positions.

He links the midfield to the attack so, so well. He’s one player who will give his 100% every time. He’s clearly so strong mentally to come back after so long out and perform the way he has.

New contract needed immediately.

I think we would all admit Tim was a disaster for us, but for him to still show so much passion for us is admirable.
