Seems like he refs are particulary on his back with the throw ins. Numerous other culprits today, but Aurier the only one getting done for it. (Not counting the obvious where Francis drops the ball).

I like him :)

Yes, he’s incredibly frustrating and has a mistake in him but so did Walker and Rose before Poch got a hold of them.

However, he has serious ability. Some of the tackles he makes are fantastic and that assist today was magnificent. Good finish for the goal, too.

Definitely needs work, but that’s ok. I would imagine after a full pre-season we will see a more consistent player next year.

It’s his first season, so it’s fair he gets a pass, but to be honest he’s reminding me of Timothy Atouba at the moment. From the sublime to the ridiculous.

Around, Really???!!!

Aurier is wayyyy better than Atouba he just needs to iron out a few things and work on his crossing and Throwins then he’ll be up here with best RB’s in prem.

Should a professional footballer in his mid 20’s really have to work on his throw ins?

Anyway, I don’t understand why he’s still taking them?

Because if the ball runs out on his side then he should be the one taking them...

Barring one cross for the opener and scoring a goal, I thought he was very poor today.

Yes he was, generally. I felt he was at fault for their goal too. That right side of our defence is all down to him, yet where was he...?

My jury is still very much out on him.

Goal wasn’t his fault at all. He had to move central to mark a player.

He can’t mark everyone can he.

Good analysis of him on MOTD tonight (or maybe I'm just saying that because I agree with them)

Basically saying he's got all the tools but could improve the consistency of his end product.

The foul throw thing doesn't really matter to me, it's clear he's now being targeted by refs as there are tons of foul throws every week but he's the only one that gets called up, he'll learn quickly.

Says who? Is there a football law that says the fullback must be he one taking it? Poch just needs to do a tiny bit of tactical tweaking if aurier continues to do foul throw ins. Its not rocket science

So he moved into a central position leaving the right (HIS position) completely unguarded.

Sorry but that's no defence (excuse the pun).

He moves in to mark the more dangerous and closer to goal player.

It’s what every full back in every team will do if your CBs have shifted across as ours did.

Literally does the right thing and gets slated :ROFLMAO: this place :banghead:
