It just seems to have become a cultural norm amongst UK footballers. I’ll swear that in every close-up of any player during the Bournemouth game, someone was gobbing somewhere. One would imagine that every slide tackle involved slithering through pints of spittle

I played sport for about 30 years and don’t recall spitting once. Mind you, it was mainly rugby union and perhaps the mouth guard inhibited this.

I do accept though, that this has very little to do with Carragher’s vile action.

Rather be known as a team that dives than a team that has ex players spit at little girls. Dirty scouse! He’s ruined himself.

I think this could be a fake story guys, after all there's not even a mention of it on Sky Sports News :sneaky:

He'll get sacked and the idiot driver should be banned also for videoing on his mobile while driving, that's worse than spitting as it can and does cost lives on the roads every day.

Sky are in a tough position. They have invested plenty of time on carragher and he does work well with neville

He will prob get suspended until next season

Would be hilarious if there was a spitting incident on the pitch and carragher had to comment on it

If he was provoked about his family or something serious then he could have got away with it. But all they said was 2-1
