Anyway, about the match, thoughts on the disallowed Bournemouth goal.
Didn't look much wrong with that to me.
We got shit lucky there imo.

I've no idea what's going on in this thread.

I did learn today that you can see into the future

All you have to do is wait for three posts in a to row criticise an individual player on here and then they seem to either score or assist. It was kinda scary. at the time.

Following football is all about emotions and nobody really gets hurt if a thread turns into an argument.... BUT we came back from an absolutely confidence shredding midweek game and a really poor start to win well and go 3rd. It's not been a bad day right?

In real-time during the game I thought it was a definite push but on the replay it looked pretty innocuous. I can see why the ref gave us the free kick.

Remember when we were over the moon the first time we reached the lofty heights of 5th?
When the Sky 4 had a strangle hold on those places and I honestly thought the day would never come when we'd break into that top 4.
Now we're 3rd and have been playing at fkin Wembley all season.
Unbelievable Jeff.
I cant wait to see us in our new stadium next season.
Might have to wear a condom to first visit just in case.

Can I just thank everyone for one of the most entertaining threads I've ever read. I really lived this one. The highs were stratospheric and the lows were lower than a snake's belly. If threads could win Oscars this one would be this year's Academy Award winner.

None of it meant shit, but boy was it fun!

That was definitely my initial thought.

However, when you push someone mid-air it's doesn't require much to knock them off balance, that's possibly why it was given.

Had Sanchez had both feet on the ground it would of been ridiculous to rule it out.

Still a bit fortunate, but its quite easy to knock someone off balance mid-air.

The problem is people aren’t being called out only for “melting down” and “declarations of doom” - they’re being called out as knee-jerkers or shit fans just for posting completely legitimate criticism during the game.

If you point out a moment of poor control from Alli - you’re hating on Alli. You’ll be quoted after the game or as soon as he scores as though your original comment was somehow completely over the top and inaccurate - when the reality is his control is often poor.

It’s becoming a ridiculous arena in here where you’re apparently either the worst fan in the world if you dare to criticise, or a happy-clapper mega-fan covered in merch where you start quoting the shit out of people saying I Told You So.

How about people just let others comment what they want, challenge stuff if they want, and stop all this crap about “toxic” match threads and “knee jerking” like it’s some kind of international level UN Resolution-requiring massive problem that people are actually posting their opinions on a football forum.

Winner Winner chicken badge dinner.

Good to see both Sky and BBC went with the son on mother's day gag in commentary. Particularly shameless from Sky. The co-commentator threw it in before the game even kicked off. Shame they missed the Rose and card option which was gifted to them in the 1st half tho. V disappointing.

Ah the rollercoaster that is the matchday thread on SC during the game. As I tend to avoid posting during the game itself, like many I saw it after the game.

Great to see many of our players coming to the fore when we needed it after Harry goes off injured, I tend to agree that ironically it helped us today because tactically the opposition will always be set up and geared to dealing with him, and would not have been expecting to deal with his absence, and it was plain to see that it knocked them completely from a tactical point of view.

Not that I would have wanted this to happen but as stated it did give us an edge they were not bargaining on. Let's hope the injury is not as bad as is feared, we can only wait and see.

It would be great if the injury is nowhere near as bad as it first seemed and he is fit to face Swansea next week but that is wildly optimistic at this stage, and we don't tend to get that lucky, because if that was the case Poch could pull a fast one on literally everyone including Swansea, the media and even us, by leading them and us all to believe he won't be playing only to put him in at the very last minute.

Just to summarise then: All of our players are shit, and yesterday's match thread was an online guerilla campaign homage to the scenes at London Stadium on Saturday?
