I thought he'd not being playing regularly this season, has he been injured ?
Injured at the start of the season. Since he came back from injury he has only not started 5 games put of 21, but even then only 4 players have more mins in the league for Dortmund this season.

One of my favorite signings would be Ward-Prowse... young, talented, creative, and worked under Poch
He could fill the creative vacuum when Eriksen is absent

But Saints would demand a fortune for him i guess

Yeah BC those CM stats have really shocked me. You’d be hard pressed to find a great team of recent teams that had an advanced CM that offered nothing in end product all season. The great teams had a Lampard scholes yaya. Tbh the obvious solution is to just drop Eriksen deeper. He’s the fittest player in the team covers the most ground. He really is as close to a scholes as you could get.
Lampard is the equivalent of Alli not Dembele. Lampard usually had 2 of Essien, Makelele, Obi Mikel or Geremi who would have scored about 3 and assisted similar between any 2 of them.

When Utd last won the CL, they often played with Carrick and either Hargreaves or fletcher, who had 3 goals and 3 assists between them.

I'm sure Saints' impending relegation will lower the price somewhat...

Ward-Prowse has an excellent right foot, but is overall limited as a player. Can't see him being good enough for us.

Not starting a quarter of the available games is not insignificant though, unless this was connected to the injury ?

Dortmund just like to rotate a lot. Only 4 players have more mins in the league of which 2 are CBs and 1 is the GK.

Dortmund despite being 3rd are a team in transition, by their standards they’ve been woeful this season. Have to battle tooth and nail for points whereas a couple of seasons ago they used to steamroll teams like Bayern and were a force in Europe. They’ve gone from having a successful formula and set line up to chopping and changing every week. They’ve some exciting talent (Zagadou, Wiegel, Sancho, Pulisic) but they seem to get lost due to their bloated squad. Given their managers tinker man approach I wouldn’t be surprised if they were prepared to let 1 or 2 of their talents go, enabling them to sort out the imbalance in their current squad.

Is it at all feasible that Goetze could become available? I know he's struggled with injuries but what a player when he's at it.

Fine by me. Have wanted Diawara for a couple years now.

He has the intelligence and physicality to become a World class CM. Poch has mentioned on several occasions that if he got Dembele at 18/19 that he would have helped him become one of the best players in the world. At 20 years old, Diawara shares some similarities with Mousa and would benefit greatly from Poch's coaching/training.

Dembele was a striker at 18/19 though

I prefer we sign a more developed player than Diawara for CM, but I'm not against it
