Spitting at someone is an actual offence. It's an assault. You are arguing a hypothetical. The car didn't crash. Yes he was reckless filming it but nothing happened.

Spitting carries diseases hepatitis etc (not suggesting carragher has any diseases). The spit hit a person...a 14 year old girl. It's an assault.

He could have easily looked over wound his window up, cranked the music and revelled in the fact he's a millionaire with a million pound a year job and banging a fit mrs. Instead he chose to assault a 14 year old girl.

I'm not excusing the dad who was also a bellend
He didn't spit at someone, he spat at the car they were driving in. There's a difference there.

The garbage about disease is pure hyperbole.

The father has completely instigated this incident, knowing Carragher isn't just some bloke who played once for Liverpool.

I'd feel the same if it was Dele, being trolled in the same way after a 2-1 loss to Arsenal. Over-reaction and disgusting, but not to lose your career due to it. About all Spurs fans would say the same.

I know. I've read a lot of them on here.

You've just typed one of the most idiotic statements it's possible to read. You think the natural process of excreting waste products is disgusting(something that if you didn't do would result in death), therefore you must regard all life forms as disgusting for living.

You are tool of the century, above Shadydan, so a real achievement.

I'm really sorry i'm not a poo lover like you, i just don't like the smell.

I just hope you never get spat at - clearly you wouldn't mind. It's not nice mate. Also it's not pure hyperbole about diseases. Try going on 6 months of hepatitis/HIV meds.

No one is excusing the dad for being a Hampton so I don't see how anyone can excuse the actions of a person who earns as much as carragher. All he had to do was ignore it.

Whether he spat at the car or the person, it's still an assault. His actions were reckless. You must know spitting at an open window that you could hit the person the other side of said open window

This is a guy who would rip into a player who spat at someone on a field of play, simply a scummy individual and can't see him working at Sky again.

Imagine going to work after Spurs getting beat, a work friend slagging you off and you then spit in his face lol. I don't get the mindset of spitting on someone, nothing to do with diseases, it's just a discusting thing to do.

Don't go down this lazy route of: "What is the worst possible thing that could happen to someone after being spat at?". It's pure BS. What was the last case in Britain of a person driving a car spitting at someone else's car, where there was a transmittable disease infecting a passenger? And will there ever be(it's no, even if you think having a shit is disgusting and maybe you should lose your job because of being alive)?

Carragher's earnings have nothing to do with his reaction. Who hasn't looked back at an incident and thought: "Yeah, I really should have ignored that and walked away."?

That's why I look forward to the full implementation of VAR, so all passion, emotion and concern can be completely removed from fans and we will be rightfully told exactly when to celebrate and cheer.

Thanks. I am aware. If you were ever spat at, you would find out it's commonplace to be put on this type of medication as a precaution in case there was infected blood in the spit. It's neither here nor there, if people need to be told that spitting in another person's face is disgusting then there isn't much hope for them
