I don't think he's getting sacked.
He didn't choose to do that interview on Sky News earlier, he was ordered to.
We've all seen the video...Sky have all seen the video, yet they just suspend him?
I think if he was finished they'd have sacked him earlier on and got it out of the way.
That is my hunch anyway.

Thanks. I am aware. If you were ever spat at, you would find out it's commonplace to be put on this type of medication as a precaution in case there was infected blood in the spit. It's neither here nor there, if people need to be told that spitting in another person's face is disgusting then there isn't much hope for them
That's a lie. Your obviously weren't aware otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned HIV. You've now moved on to "whataboutery" by describing the most incredibly rare example of any infection that could ever take place.

How could he ever cover a match again with the possibility of a spitting incident though? I mean how could hearing him condem it hold any water lol. Also suspending is standard, while there is a disciplinary investiagation going on, they would have to talk to him before sacking him.

C'mon now everyone, let's stop all this soppy bollocks nonsense. It wasn't nice what carragher did and he is deservedly being punished for it.

Having said that, the Dad is also a bellend.

Fucks sakes. I can see I’ll have to go back to being an utter Gestapo **** to cull the corey fraternity and get this site back to something approaching normality. What’s up with people lately?

Go pump on your hambone or something.

If he'd make a sexist comment about a female referee he'd get sacked. But spitting on a 14 year old girl gets a suspension. The world's gone mad.

My understanding is he was at Sky HQ quite early this morning, he then did the Sky News interview early this afternoon....they've obviously spoken to him then.
Why would they want him on the air on their flagship news channels, which is transmitted on freeview to the the entire nation, if they were going to sack him?...makes no sense to me, they'd want rid of him asap and they'd try to bury the story asap.

Also spitting incidents are pretty rare, although there was one recently it's not like they happen very often.
Just a hunch, i could well be wrong, but it's the interview that makes me think this.

The massive difference is that a Sky had been looking for a reason to get rid of Keys and Gray, not the case with Carragher.

This forum does seem to have gone batshit crazy the last couple of weeks.

Yet an employer has to be consistent.
Should be consistent.
I don't remember Keys and Gray getting a special interview on Sky news to grovel....they used Talksport for that and ended up getting a gig there.
I'm not saying it's right, this is my hunch that's all.
