I do t like stooping to their level so why don’t we just call us St Totteringham day too. It would hurt them just that little bit more.

All we can go all Jewish in them and call it Passover

Exactly. They did it for 21 consecutive years, and had finished above us for 7 consecutive seasons before it was coined as a term (2002 it was first used, and before last year they'd finished above us every year since 1995/96).

It would be brilliantly small time for us to do it literally the minute we do it two consecutive seasons. Just like it was chanting 'You're shit' at Bournemouth at the weekend, who are far beneath us in terms of finances and had given us a very good game and we got away with a scoreline that flattered us.

In fact, most things about modern fandom are hugely small-time. Best to stay above it all
Was really disappointed with the fans on the weekend chanting to the Bournemouth fans you're shit. Absolutely no need for it!

Agree. Juz locked it.

Let's focus on ourself and not care about them. We can laugh at them... Don't see the point stooping to their level of stupidity

It's a dead duck now and they can't use it again so needs to be buried, we can revive it in ten years if they haven't caught us by then but I wouldn't bank on that.

Don’t understand the people that say not to bother, I had a season ticket when we had Ronny Rosenthal upfront and have heard their fucking ‘totteringham day’ many sickening times......believe me, I’m going to be rubbing their fucking noses in it every chance I get.

I’ve tried out a couple of names for it last season and by far and away the one that got the most bites and biggest reaction from the scummy mugs is; ‘St Woolwich’s Day’.

lol just read through some of this thread...that was sickening at Newcastle on the last day of the season a couple of years ago.

Anyways, I’ll still be giving them abuse come the end of the season if we finish above them, pretty standard.

I agree with most of this, but am undecided on the "you're shit" chant being thrown at less successful clubs. I know some Millwall who were having a moan about us telling them they are shit at the Lane. I mean, would they rather a pat on the head? A round of applause and some platitudes about thanks for taking part? Its only innocuous football banter after all. Much better than some of the poisonous stuff that gets chanted

For Millwall you could make an argument as them being London rivals and just a nasty club? I think it would be better to amend the lyrics to "La la, la la, You're c***s" but each to their own.

I'm not sure Bournemouth, with their over-achieving and their playing football the right way and their nice friendly manager, qualify for any of the reasons I'd want to yell expletives at someone. But again, each to their own.

But if anyone does, don't be surprised when some people think you're a dick.

This is the sort of thing arsenal fans would do.

arsenal fans are a national joke. They couldn't even retain their own imaginary made up trophy.

Lets not be like arsenal fans.

Half of the posters in this thread don't celebrate Spurs goals because Arsenal scored more of them in the 90s.

Truth is even if we don't label the day we finish above them as soon as one day they finish above us they will be rubbing it in our faces again.

I really can't see that happening. Unless they really invest big. And if they do then "fair" play to them. We have known for the longest time that titles can technically be bought.

And so what if they rub it in our faces? We are building something, and the reason they hold on so such petty victories is because they are already in the crapper and they know it. They are like West Ham fans, focus on the misfortunes of other teams and not caring about their own club.

I really don't care too much for them. Waste of my time.

Let them. They're dicks. Let that say all it needs to say about the club. I don't get the broader opinion of 'they do it so we should'. Why does everyone have to rush to the bottom?

There really has never been a worse time to be a football fan, everything is so bloody negative or monetised. If I was a kid now, no way would I get into it. Too expensive, too much bullshit.

:D:D:D

I definitely count myself amongst the 'no' votes. I'm inclined to just leave it alone.

... that said, if folks were really determined to make reference to it, North London Passover does have a ring to it.
