It's kinda funny how the club has gone to seemingly huge extent to fill the new stadium with great looking facilities, food and drink outlets, etc. How many people are actually going to be spending loads of money on all that stuff when the cost of their season tickets are nearly doubled?

Day trippers are where that money goes I'd say. Drink, food, club shop. Okay, the people have to go somewhere, there's only so many you will fit in the 'beer garden' of the Bell and Hare, but personally I'll be in to Tottenham, watch the game, and off home again, as I've done the last few seasons.

I'm sorry but nobody can resist a cheese board

It's looking like we may end being the most expensive team to watch which will then present itself with another problem, and that is the expectation on us from fans and media to win big prizes.
I alluded to this yesterday. At these prices I expect trophies, regular qualification for the champions league, and serious runs at the title. If the club don't invest properly in players, and we don't win anything for the first couple of years, the atmosphere might begin to get pretty from pretty quickly.

I really fancied an 1882 seat but having read some comments on twitter and here I’m starting to think if I dare turn up a minute late to my seat after half time I’ll be lynched!
For that price you should demand food & drinks be bought out to you

Yeah agree. Since we’ve seen and heard about the stadium it’s been nice to imagine all the great facilities, but in the end it’s all fluff and there are far more important things to consider.

Of course we all want a nice new bigger stadium, cleaner toilets, a bit more choice of food and more leg room, but looking at that season ticket brochure it looks more like the fucking O2 than a football ground.

Only thing intimidating about that kop end is going to be the mass waft of prawns from the corporate lot when they traipse back from their private bar at around 55 minutes

Why is it not possible to keep ST for loyal supporters at a very reasonable price in the UK??

You are talking nonsense of course it is possible but the fact is no owners etc are willing to do so.

Also the football authorities in this country are so spineless and the Premier League are so uber money driven

I imagine this is the same type of argument as to why we cant pay the bankers much much less in bonuses because they will all leave and go elsewhere

Well let them fuck off somewhere else . It would also be lovely to keep football for normal working people and not just Oligarchs and the super rich as a play thing and something they can dip in and out of when they choose

It's not nonsense. As you prove yourself in what you say: "no owners are willing to do it".

I'm not saying it's a good thing. I much prefer your approach. But I'm explaining how it works now, that's all, and it's a fantasy to expect owners to subsidise ticket prices out of their own pockets while the system works as it does. Get it to work the way you want it to and I'll back you 100%. but as you say, no owners want it to work differently, so at this moment it is nonsense to say it could be different. It requires an entire revolution in how the game is run, and that's not happening.

Until it does, the bankers and the uber-rich call the tune and if we want to be competitive we have two options: pay the price or...... there is no second option.

In a twitter poll of 2.5k 43% have said the prices are fine as expected. 37% said high 20% ridiculously high. The club would probably take that response. 43% surprised me especially reading here and twitter. I was expecting a £200 hike that’s pretty much what I’ve got.

The issue isn't the pricing or the bands. £795 - £1500 is about right, but it's the distribution in those bands. Only 1,200 seats are under £900. Most of the £900-£1000 seats are in the south (which will sell out) . There are too many in the £1,200-£1,300 bracket. The entire east.west stands.

The club is only going to listen if it becomes abundantly clear that this is having a real impact rather than just annoying the Trust types. If they see a significant drop-off in the renewal rate in the first couple of phases, and a situation where everyone is booking the cheap seats leaving only £1500+ offerings in phases 7 and 8 and therefore several thousand not renewing, they'll have to go back to the drawing board. There is no point in putting the prices up if you then don't actually sell the tickets.

Nothing will change. The only thing I can see happening is perhaps getting the 2 free cup games back.

I spoke to the ticket office and they said the club has taken a decision that they will not amend peoples sales phase even if they (the club) have made a mistake. I’m furious as I am in the same situation. I love spurs but not sure the club will be getting any of my money at this rate. I’m expecting a call in the next 48 hours, but don’t expect a positive outcome. If there are no east stand lower (or even west stand lower) tickets available by phase 4 (which I have to wait for because of the clubs fu(k up) I will not renew. I don’t mind the extra cost or how they intended to do the phasing, but when they won’t correct their mistake that’s unacceptable.

I successfully got mine corrected to phase 1 today.

Kick up a fuss. You're in the right.

Not really sure how the club can win in this situation though. It's never going to please everyone, and they have to draw lines somewhere.

Why did people have multiple STs in their name in the first place? Kinda makes some sense that once they get transferred it's kinda new, though I get where people are coming from.

If they let family members move up phases, people will argue their mates should too, etc.
before the mid 2000s it was the done thing to have your and your child's season ticket in your name.

Looking forward to one or two big signings in the summer to justify this. God knows what the prices per game are going to be . Only in London would you dare to charge this much and hope to get away with it

There will be some big signings once the stadium debt's been paid off in 2087.
