Honestly, it's the best news we could've possibly expected.

Were very lucky that we have an international break so soon. He's likely to miss Swansea and Chelsea and would likely be back in the squad for Stoke.

Chelsea game aside, We should be winning comfortably against Swansea and Stoke without Kane.

Not to play devil's advocate, but I actually think not having Kane for Chelsea may work in our favour. Bournemouth marked Kane out of the game and we looked pretty one-dimensional. When Lamela came on, there was so much movement from the front 4 that Bournemouth did not know who to mark and could not cope. I think we can beat Chelsea without Kane.

How about a front four of:

------Eriksen
Lucas----- Lamela
---------Alli

I think it would work.

(PS, I really don't want to have to test and find out if i'm right)
Have you seen how many chances Dele misses.

If it came down to it I'd much rather Coco at point tbh. With Dele behind him.

And there is no way we should be having to contemplate this.

Have to learn a lesson and tighten up on procurement.

'Damaged' and not ruptured/torn is good news. Next month is pretty vague but I can see him being back in 4 weeks which means he might miss 2-3 games. Should be able to ride it out, but ideally he's back for City on the 14th or the potential cup semi the following weekend.

Normally, yeah. But there seems to be a few month training standard of getting fit after injured with Poch.
Not true, both times Kane returned from injury last season he was straight back in. Very different to compare to Toby and Rose in particular who had pretty serious long term injuries. Kane will keep his fitness up, and will be back sharpish.

Spurs have just confirmed he’s expected to return to training next month. So up to 6/7 weeks basically.

It's more cleverly worded than that. Could be three weeks until return to training. Fingers crossed.

Love the 'next month' vagueness.

Could start training in 18 days. Which would be good.

But then again, he could start training in 48 days. Which wouldn't be good.

Don't thank me too much for the wonderful insight.

Agreed.

Of course it's vague, they can't say he'll definitely be back for a specific date.

I don't think it's vague. Suggesting next month is the 1st of April is just being pedantic. Next month is just another way of saying in a month thus he's out for 4-6 weeks.

Considering Toby has been out since November with a frigging Hammy I’m not optimistic that we’ll see Kane again this season.

Toby was back and had a set back though. Plus he wasn't ready to be selected in a big PL or CL game judging by his performance against Rochdale

tbh im quite intrigued seeing more of the 4 behind kane without the kane now. Very dynamic stuff possibly when there's no focal point

Makes nullifying us very difficult because we have multiple focal points.

I would never wish Kane out of this team but the turnaround after losing Kane at Bournemouth shows that teams will struggle to cope with us.

Does anyone have a list of the games we've played in the last couple of years when Kane has been injured? I'm sure I saw that we've actually got an excellent record without him anyway.

All that has effectively been announced is that he will not play this weekend and will also miss England games.
