Is he even better than Son now?

I'm not saying he is or isn't better than Son.
He is a bigger name though and I don't know if that's right or wrong.

Son seems to be "good for a Korean" and is always benchmarked against other Koeans, whereas Bale is just good.

That's how the media seem to constantly paint it and it's flat out wrong. Son is a good player among any group, not just Korean/asian players.

Son is an incredible player. If you look at his statistics he is right up there with the likes of Hazard and Alexis Sanches. Having watched Bale in the last couple of years I’m not sure I would swap them tbh

Well Bale wouldn't do the work off the ball that Son does that's for sure.

I love Bale and would be absolutely over the moon if he came back, despite the injury problems - I think he’d link up brilliantly with Kane.

However this is never, ever going to happen. It will be a sad day when he comes back to England because he will almost certainly be wearing a United shirt.

And there's the rub, you said almost certainly so you never know.

He absolutely did for us though, he worked his socks off. When he first broke into the side he would always finish the game with his shirt covered in mud. People have short memories.

I'd take him, he is an exceptional player, if it financially makes sense why would we say no to that?

It’s a lot easier to get from London to South Wales than from Manchester. Might take that into account if he wants to be close to Family.

He can

"Now Garreth I know you are one of the finest attacking talents this Island has ever produced but forget all that shit, now you will learn how to grind out 1-0 victories"

Well, same conversation he had with AVB then.

All he'd be doing if he came back is creaming his pants about how great Madrid is to all our players, same with Luca double agents. Totally wrong for what we're trying to build.

Son is currently a better player than Bale. Anyway, he’s always injured, hugely expensive and past his best. Why would we want Madrid’s cast offs? We’re better than they are.

I'm not saying he didn't work hard when he was in his early 20's. The player that would be coming back is not the same player though. He is not built to spend 90 minutes chasing balls down now, and the injuries have certainly taken their toll. On top of that is WF really a position we need to bring in now Lucas is here? I mean if it wasn't Bale would we be looking to bring another experienced player in for that position? For me the priorities lie else where.

What is your reasoning for this statement?

Is it that you are saying:

a) You wouldn’t want Bale back?
b) You think it’s impossible to get him?
c) Both?

Anyone who wouldn’t want Bale back is off their heads. He is world-class. Despite the injuries, he would be our highest profile signing of all time.

I think it would possibly even me a milestone in our history as the moment when we confirmed our place amongst the elite.

I am dreaming, as I don’t think it’s financially possible, but I would love him back at Spurs.
Don't think it's financially possible?? That's exactly what I thought when I opened up my new season ticket pack...

If we want to genuinely take on City for the league next year, then bringing back Bale is perhaps a way of doing it.

City have most other teams in the league beaten before they step on the pitch these days.

The thought of facing Kane and Bale in tandem could also give us the same edge and fear factor, wherebye a lot of teams chalk us off as a loss and move on.

Play him back in his best position, behind the striker. Real Madrid have wasted him by moving him back into the WF position. Got what its worth, there is a good case to say don't get him he costs too much. But if the price was right and he was keen to come its a no brainer. I mean if a player of his quality is available and really wants to come, it would be mad to not take him just on the basis that we have other good players in those positions. Let him come, let him compete, his experience could be vital as well.

No way we should be spunking a load of money on Bale. He’s way past his best. I’d love us to sign a player of his caliber when fully fit, something he rarely is these days.
