I think that benefits both Liverpool and City - City will go through, but Liverpool won't have much travel to disrupt their League play.

Juve vs Real Madrid. After beating Madrid in the group stages and getting the draw away at Juve I didn't think either of those sides would end up in the quarters, let alone the semi's, and yet here they are...instead of us...

Juve v. Madrid will get some attention as it was last year's final.

Oh yes, for sure. Somewhat annoying that tie when you consider we were most probably the better team against both of these clubs over the two games we played against both.

Madrid are a completely different animal in the knock out stages of the CL, they're like Juve, mentality is on point, they just do what they have to do to get through, we wouldn't have it as easy as we had in the group stage if we played them again.

Agree. Plus they went into that game not really giving us the respect we deserved. A great performance and victory for us, but they were very arrogant and just decided they would score more than us because they’re Madrid.

If we played them again it would be very different.

Positive draw for embittered Spurs fans (like myself). Hoping to see Madrid humiliate Juve, and City to do the same to Liverpool. Barca and Bayern are also nailed on for the semis, so hopefully we can avoid a Prem team winning the cup, and the media wankfest that would ensue.

Oh im still bitter. Not at the players or Juve but at Poch. He cost us that game with his trademark stubbornness(another game chalked down to Poch’s inability to manage during a game). We were tiring and needed fresh legs to keep up the pressure as that was the only way we were going to mask the deficiencies of Sanchez, Trippier and Davies. Allegri made the changes before us(actually wayyyyy before) and punished us. I dont know when/if poch will learn how to manage during a football game but i hope he does and it happens soon.

Well at least Liverpool's piss-easy run has ended. Will be interesting to see what they are made of now they've got a decent opponent.

I can actually see Liverpool beating City over two legs
I can't. Liverpool are a team that like to go 100mph and blow teams away from the offset The problem is can they get through a difficult period without conceding over the two ties?

Take the 4-3 win against City for example. For 60 minutes or so it looked like they'd blown City away, what followed was 15 minutes of drop off and City almost levelled it. Even if Liverpool were to get their press spot on and get a lead, they would undoubtedly be unable to shut City out when City get those 15 minutes of pressure.

What Im saying is Liverpool could have 80% of the tie in their favour and still lose because they can't see through periods under pressure from the opposition. I can't say the same about City.
