Two YPOTY awards in a row says otherwise.

Apart from Mbappe no one else 21 or under in the world has put up anywhere near the quality and consistency of performances as Dele for the last 3 seasons.

I've seen some people, including some in the media, say he's not even top 10. That's absolute garbage. By way of comparison with other popular choices, league goals and assists for the last 3 seasons:

Dele: G: 34, A: 25

Mbappe: G: 29, A: 17

Sane: G: 21, A: 20

Dembele: G: 18, A: 20

Coman: G: 9, A: 10

Asensio (probably the player most comparable to Dele in terms of position): G: 13, A: 16

Rashford: G: 16, A: 8

Pulisic (who everyone clamours for): G: 8, A: 10. Dele did better than that in his first full single season in the PL when he was Pulisic's current age.

And then you've got guys like Donarumma, but it's harder to judge in these terms.

FWIW my top 5 would be something like:

1. Mbappe, 2. Dele, 3. Donarumma, 4. Sane, 5. Coman
I wonder where he would sit on that list if it were also against minuets played? A lot of young guys don’t get the time Dele has, as you say Asensio would play a similar position, as would Rashford. But they have never gotten half the minutes Dele has gotten. I’m not saying he isn’t a great young player just judging the validity of the list! But I would disagree that he is the best young player in the world, sounds a bit like when he bigs up Dier as the best English CB - good player management just not true!

Bearing in mind how shit some of the foreign leagues are.

I agree to a point, I do think however you have to take into consideration some of the players on your list, Sane and Dembele, have moved country which is never easy. Especially for Sane, the PL is very physical and can be extremely hard to get to grips with. Dembele as well has had an awful time with injuries this season so that hasnt helped his development. Personaly I would put Sane ahead of Alli at this point as I think he is an incredible player and this season is starting to really show his qulity. but Alli, on his day, should be up there.
