I'm a man of a certain age, I attend alot of games and those I dont I watch on tv, I consider myself pretty decent at trivia with pop music being one of my stronger suits.

Despite the above it was not until today that I became aware that our Poch chant was meant to be in the melody of the Pilot song 'Its Magic'. (Hope it is after all this)

Whilst I accept there is an element of fuckwittery on my part given the lyric I do think we should be embarrassed at how we as a collective are so poor at holding a tune.

Why no 'Oh, Oh, Oh' to start it off on the right foot for gods sake?
Come on people we are better than this arent we?!
It's almost as annoying as shoehorning 'Luka Modric' in at the end of the chorus to the Steam/Bananarama hit Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye when its obviously too many syllables and therefore upsets the whole momentum.

I'm happy to meet up before home games and have a little practice to fine tune us into the most harmonious fans in the league, I may just canvas in some of the pubs, I'm fairly sure I wont get my head smashed in.

Thought Eriksen was good today and love how some of Sissoko's heavy touches took out their entire midfield. COYS.

It does start off with ‘oh oh oh’ and then just like the actual song, it’s not needed from then on in. People don’t tend to hear the oh oh oh because that’s when the song starts so there are only a handful of people singing it at that point. Others will join in when they hear ‘magic’.

The Modric one was pretty tongue in cheek.

TBH when we first started singing I had no idea thats what song it was, due to it being virtually irrecognisable to the original.
It took a couple of months before I twigged.

Maybe we should play the song before kick off so we can get the right key.
No matter what key that starts on I just don't have the range to nail that song, it's really challenging vocally, it's just asking for trouble with a football crowd.

Completely agree. The fans' version reminds me of when Vic Reeves used to do songs in the clubland style on Shooting Stars.

It's a tough ask to go to Wales, the home of the male choir, where gangs of tough sinewy men roam the valleys, terrorising people with their close harmony singing* and criticise our fans for their efforts

I thought they just didn't like the tune to the proper song so made up their own utterly shit version.

It' fucking awful to hear and the original song is perfect for his name baffling that they chant it like that poor show indeed.

I'd like to moan about when people started confusing the very simple phrase "a lot" with a single word. Fucks sake.

Spurs fans always muck up their songs... Number of times I've heard "Oh when the spurs" peter out into half hearted clapping and mumbling...

It always sounds like whoever came up with it was really stretching it when trying to match it to the original Pilot song! I have to say I cringe every time I hear it.

While we’re on the subject of songs. Have to say Heung-min Son’s song also bugs me. It’s like someone just had no imagination and couldn’t be arsed! “Nice one Sonny nice one Son” just a different boring way of saying the same name. But what annoys me is if the person who “thunk it up” thought about it for more than two seconds he would have realized that “nice one Heung-min, nice one Son, nice one Heung-min, let’s have another one” fits perfectly. And it’s he’s full name! Sure he would love that!

Surely it should be "he's magic, you know, Mauricio Pochettino" and not "Mauricio Pochettino, he's magic, you know".
