Wonder what the pundits will say if we win the cup? My guess, they will moan that we havnt won 2 cups.

That we had an unfair advantage playing at Wembley. That would defo be the narrative. Then as we inevitably sell a player or two in the summer that it’s only the FA cup and it won’t stop people leaving. CRISIS BACK ON!

I'd rather avoid Leicester tbh. They'll be so much more up for it having only this to play for and we have had a few bad experiences against them in the last few seasons, the 6-1 win aside.

And avoid Jose because, for all of United's shit play these days, we all know that he's still a master at finding a way to win a one-off game in adverse conditions.

The Taiwanese channel I was watching seemed to show Son's goal was onside yesterday, but there was no commentary in the bar, yet VAR ruled it offside. Was it mentioned much by the commentators? Didn't affect the result in the end, but they seem to be making a few dodgy calls with it.
Wrong thread but I’ll explain mods can move it.
VAR is only supposed to overturn clear and obvious mistakes made on the field of play by an official. In this case the official ( linesman) flagged for offside!

When VAR revues it, it indicated it was very close but still some debate on if it was onside or offside! Probably 60/40 in favor of it being inside! Therefore it was not “clear and obvious” that the linesman made a mistake.
Now conversely I would say had the linesman not raised he’s flag and the ref had given a goal, then VAR would have awarded the goal also as in this case there was again no “clear and obvious mistake” made by the officials.

From my point of view, although I am pissed off Son’s brilliant goal didn’t stand. As the letter of the law stands with VAR, it was the correct decision.

The only thing I hope is that I hope officials are given the instruction to ere on the side of the attacking player if they are not 100% sure and let VAR make the decision

I hope Leicester beat Chelski today and we get them in the semifinals and hope that Wigan or Southampton get to the finals.

For me that’s the easiest draw and higher percentage chance of us lifting the cup!

However in an ideal world I would love for Chelski to have the same amount of games and pressure we have and reach the final ( this will help us with top 4 finish) then we beat them in the final! But that is my heart speaking and a lot risky bet so I’ll go with my safer first option

Id love to win 2 or 3 bits of silverware over the next 5 to shut them up.

If we win it 100% everyone including pundits will be going on about how we had home advantage and then go onto talking about how we need to win a 'major' trophy, expect it

Who cares? Some people seem more obsessed with what people are saying about us than what we actually do. Smacks of paranoia. Ignore it.

Of course they will. The same ones that in August were telling us how Webley would be our downfall this season.
