Already The pundits (Phil McNulty) saying Poch needs to win the FA cup more than any other of the semi-finalists

I don't disagree with that whatsoever.

If we want to be considered a current day equal to either United or Chelsea then we do indeed need to in the Cup this year.

It'll be a game of tactics. No way will Mourinho set them out like he did against us in January as we'd boss them in every area of the pitch again.

I'm confident Poch will live up to his song and show us how magic he really is.

Jose hasn't changed the way they have played all season. I just don't see him changing tactics at all.

I have a feeling we'll draw or lose against Chelsea in the league and then go on to beat Chelsea in the final and for that reason the semi will be tougher mentally than the final.

what is it now? 7 fa cup semi final defeats on the trot since 91?

just the law of averages suggests that this time, surely, it cannot happen again!!

Can it??

I think the biggest hurdle we have here is a mental one.
ITS CHELSEA, ITS MAN U..... AAAHHHH.

Just watch either of these teams last 10 games. I mean really watch them. Strip away the name and the history and imagine you're watching Reading or Watford, Norwich or the like.
They're both playing shit, Man U more than Chelsea.
We have nothing to fear.
We got this.

This. It’s not about the managers positions, Conte’s gone irrespective of what happens to the rest of their season, Moureen won’t be getting sacked and neither does Poch’s future depend on cup success.

However for where we are in our as a team and club, winning silverwear if far more important for us than the others.

It will take away the question marks over our mentality in the biggest games, phycoligically the players will be better equipped to challenge for trophy’s having won one, it will go along way to validating what we’re doing as a club and let’s the players know that they can win silverwear with us, going into a fantastic new stadium as cup winners and having qualified for the CL will make us a more attractive option for players, as well as it just being a massive boost to the squad.

... Plus everyone forgets it used to be our cup.

When we last won something in 2008 we had to beat the goons in the semi and the chavs in the final. Both those teams were far better than they are now - Chelsea had terry, lampard, drogba, Essien etc etc and notwithstanding Keane, Bernatov and King we weren’t half the team then that we are now.

Psychology plays a huge part in this. Get that right and we win this trophy

We can beat anyone on the day, we've proved that already we've got to beat two good teams to win the cup but now more than i can remember we have every chance of doing that. Im happier going into the Man U and maybe Chelsea games in the cup than i would be if Man City or Liverpool were there. Not that i think Liverpool are better i just would hate to lose to them more.

I was just about to write the exact same sentence using the same players as examples.

You can be as off form as you like but if you’ve got matchwinners in your squad then form goes out of the window at this stage of the cup - realistically there’s nothing between the three teams.

Why are we worried about utd. We have the superior team, we already beat them rather easily at wembley.

Brighton had their moments as utd are crap at the back.

We win this and then play chelsea in the final.

There will be massive pressure on us to win this, Jose is bound to bring up the supposed home advantage we have. Lately we have been pretty good in high pressure games compared to how we usually buckle, Juve aside of course.

Massive game for useould be great having the FA Cup in the cabinate of the new stadium.

Would rather play United in the semi-finals than in the final, to be fair. Mourinho always seems to win something and there's nothing else available.
