Why is the article headline ''Christian Eriksen says exactly what Tottenham fans want to hear about Barcelona links''? When all he has said is

"To be honest, I dont think about it. You play football in the moment, but you also have your own dreams," he said in an interview with Danish publication BT. "Dreams are one thing, but what is realistic isn't clear until its laid out on the table.

"Right now I think, most of us are very happy to be in Tottenham, and so am I."

This means, 'No-one has come in for me yet so I have no comment on it?'

Yeah, nothing to see here. I don’t think he is consistent enough over the course of a season to be in the Barca first eleven anyway. Can’t see him being happy to warm the bench. Maybe this is what he mean’t by, “What is realistic”?

He is better than Rakitic, Paulinho and Gomes. Due to his versatility he would slot in nicely in either a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3. I think he would be a fantastic signing for Barca, but hopefully they won`t see it that way.

fortunately they need to get Dembele and Phil fully integrated so probably won't have the need to go after CE....besides, they and Real will be getting their money together for the Mo Salah auction.

He's good enough to start for Barca
I'm sure he'd want to go if the chance came.
Unfortunately for him and them Levy would want 150 million +

His contract expires in a little more than 2 years (2020). If Eriksen refuses to sign a new contract, I`m skeptical as to whether Levy would wait until 2019 to sell him.

Now, that is premised on the assumption that one of the so called "elite clubs" want him. If one of them do, he would probably cost less than 100 million.

I’m not saying he isn’t good enough or better than those other players you mentioned. But it’s a fact that he can’t play at that level all season long. He hasn’t done it for us, so why should he do it for them. This is the only reason we’ve been able to hold onto most of our players, like Ali, Dembele and Eriksen - their inconsistency throughout a season puts off the mega clubs coming in for them. That’s obviously good news for us though! Quite why they haven’t come in for Toby or Verts before now is more of a mystery though...

Eriksen is world class. More important for us than Kane imo. And that's the world's best striker I'm talking about.

He's mentioned his dream before and I suspect it is to be with a European giant. Let's see how we go in the new stadium.

No, it doesn't. It means "I'm going to say the perfectly phrased comment with no actual information and also without pissing off fans, directors and managers of neither my present or possible future club"

This is what happens when links are just copied and pasted and not actually read by the poster.

Not sure how you can jump to that assumption. I read all the articles i post before doing so. I can't help it if some don't have ad-blockers installed.

Eriksen wants to know if there are real chances of going to Barça
  • The Danish crack has asked his more direct environment to check if there is a serious interest or not of the Barça entity to know what to expect
Christian Eriksen does not forget Barça and wants to know if the same happens for the Barça entity. Constantly he receives offers, through agents, from the club presided by Josep Maria Bartomeu with whom they have managed to maintain contacts in the past. The Danish crack has asked his more direct environment to try to confirm directly by the Barcelona entity if after Andres Iniesta march there is a real interest or not. It does not want to return to make illusions like in the past and to remain then with a span of noses.

Those who have contacted the Danish would have ensured that the ' staff ' 'Barca coach sees the game the ideal complement to Ernesto Valverde could successfully fill up the void left and Andres Iniesta . Although the truth, as MD has been reporting, is that the plans of the Barcelona club go through trust that role to Philippe Coutinho waiting for the legacy of Arthur Melo in the next winter market, more if you take into account that in the forward there will be the luxury reinforcement of Antoine Griezmann , along with Lionel Messi , Luis Suárez and Ousmane Dembélé .

Martin Schoots, Christian Eriksen's agent, confirmed that Barça made an offer to the Danish international of Tottenham in the summer of 2017.

The manager, speaking to the Daily Mirror, added that Chelsea and Milan were also interested in the crack that came to London from Ajax. MD already reported that offer Barca club when things got complicated with Philipe Coutinho in the month of last August. But the president Daniel Levy closed in band, asked for a lot of money and the Barcelona team preferred to wait and play hard for the Brazilian of Liverpool in winter. Philippe Coutinho ended up signing for the Barça team last January.

Examining the future Although Christian Eriksen has a contract until June 2020, Martin Schoots has assured that at the end of the season they could rethink the future, more if Mauricio Pochettino left the Tottenham bench. Christian Eriksen, aware of everything, assured the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet that "Barça can not be said no". Specifically said that "I still have a contract with Tottenham for a few more seasons (until 2020). There are always rumors about soccer players and I am one of them. Barça is a great club and I do not think there are many players who can say 'no' to Barça. "

Christian Eriksen, born in Middelfart 25 years ago, has made an important jump as a footballer with Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham. He is still that technical player who was seen as the substitute for Michael Laudrup in his Ajax years, but in the Premier League he has hardened, gets his foot in the melee and plays closer to the area, which makes more goals But, on the other hand, it is absolutely essential for the 'Spurs'.

Barça, with its technical secretary Robert Fernandez and the rest of the scouting team, were following Christian Eriksen, although they already knew him well enough from his time in Ajax and in the matches with the Denmark team. The Danish crack star, this season, a great match in the Allianz of Turin against Juventus in Champions. The 'ten' of Tottenham, along with 'killer' Harry Kane, dynamited the Vecchia signora. That exhibition of the former Ajax player gave reason to those who bet on him as a replacement for Phiippe Coutinho, when the negotiations with Liverpool in the market last summer complicated.

Robert Fernandez himself and other scouts of the club were following him closely. They were present, in addition to several Premier League matches, in the Champions League tie in the group stage where Tottenham played against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, where they gave a 'bath' to the whites and in London.

Nor should we forget the exhibition that Christian Eriksen made with the national team in Denmark in the tie-break game played against Northern Ireland. That day, the crack of Tottenham played a great game and signed a hat trick in the 1-5 final favorable to the 'red dynamite' that gave him the pass for the final phase of the Russian World Cup this June. Direct scores There were even scores by Christian Eriksen.

Bayram Tutumlu, agent of Michael Laudrup, revealed in an interview in the Danish newspaper BT that "I was invited to see Christian Eriksen in London in September, although he was doing a renovation of the house, and he asked me what to do to get to a bigger club. " The person in charge of taking Gica Popescu and Gica Hagi to Barça admitted that he spoke with Eriksen and confessed the interest of Barça for him.

To justify his claim to Christian, Tutumlu reveals a meeting with the president of Barça, Josep Maria Bartomeu. "When I visited Barcelona with my partner Evren Sahin and the owner of Brøndby, Jan Bech Andersen, the Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu told me that Christian Eriksen had become the next great player in Denmark who would wear the Barça jersey, after Michael Laudrup " Bayram Tutunlu said that "unfortunately, they bought Coutinho instead of Eriksen.

Christian was unhappy at Tottenham because he was alone. His agent, Martin Schoots, destroyed the transfer. But I have spoken with Daniel Levy, president of the 'Spurs' and I know what it takes for Christian Eriksen to move to Barcelona or another great club. " He was the ideal complement and future relief for Andres Iniesta and, above all, more affordable than the Brazilian, seeing what he ended up paying for him. But Barça decided to bet everything for the arrival of Philippe Coutinho. First because of the Brazilian's involvement in his pressure to Liverpool to sign for the club. Second, Robert Fernandez's firm commitment (the technical secretary ended up playing all that tab), without forgetting the important support to decant any balance of Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez who wanted to 'Cou' on his team. Suffice it to recall that Leo himself personally asked President Josep Mari
