Weighing up all the motives, price, access, living in a cave with a view of a palace. I also think the proximity to the away fans will help the atmosphere. Also we're next to the cheapest tickets block so they should get a few rowdy fuckers in there too. I would have gone Park Lane if not for the fact they fucked up the pricing by putting in the £2200 bunch right in the middle.

to be honest do you really think that 1,000 1882 members will really fuck up a stand that has 17,500 in total?

a bit like a few moaning about the east stand corporate seating. when I had my ticket at the turn of the centaury the blocks in the lower tier by the halfway line were corporate then, that's where Billy Nick used to sit

I don’t think it helped. They needed to make sure that whole stand was financially accessible to the man on the street. I’m not saying people with money don’t make noise. I’m just saying people without do.

I honestly don't think it will harm the atmosphere though, and as they only get 1 free pint most should be able to get back in place by KO.

you won't get the full 17,500 singing the whole match anyway, I remember taking my kids to a game and thought South Stand for the atmosphere. I had a couple behind me yapping all match about fucking EastEnders and what else they did that week, and a few others talking about everything else but the match.

yes the prices are high, and wished I was financially and mobility able to of been in a position, but the only stand that doesn't really seemed to of had a big hike is the West, yet they have been paying bundles more for decades, and their facilities aren't that much better

I’m next to away fans at Wembley and the best fans were probably APOEL! That’s partly because we’ve battered most teams this year and it’s Wembley. I can’t even remember Juve being great other than when they scored.

Dortmund fans were decent but agree Apoel were the best

This notion people with a bit more money don’t make noise is a tad ridiculous. Wimbledon centre court probably most expensive tickets in sport is a cracking atmosphere. And the whole point of the 1882 is that it’s an inbetween ticket. It’s for people who want atmosphere + bit of luxury. If those people just wanted hospitality they’d be in west stand.

If that were true why was the west stand the quietest at WHL and Park Lane the loudest
Also at Wembley, I don’t hear much noise from club Wembley

Don’t hear about Liverpool’s famous corporate stand atmosphere being better than the Kop either

Can’t decide between a central seat or a wider seat at an angle.

Central seat plus = central view (obviously)
Angled seat plus = less likely your view of the pitch will be obscured by latecomers walking up aisles etc (I like to sit at the end of the row)

They had corporate seating in the old Park Lane - Pat Jennings Lounge seats in the lower and the Gary Mabbutt seats in the upper. Don't see how this is any different tbh

Why don’t we just bring back Sherwood and scream ‘C’mon Tim!’. Centre Court ain’t all that. Been a few times and it’s too friendly to compare to a football crowd in full swing.

1882 ST's are not going to sell , just a handful of takers so far , what's going to happen to the free drink & food maybe Jan Vertonghen can take it to the North Enfield Food Bank, I think Levy lives in Enfield so he wont starve.

Would be a massive slap in the face for Levy if they didn’t sell. Gotta say, I’d enjoy it.

I guess the backup plan might be to re-price the seats to £1500 and sell the 1882 shite as a £700 optional add-on available to anyone sitting in the east/west/south.

1882 should have always been in west stand. It’s like selling someone economy on a plane saying you can use the bar but we are gonna charge you more than 1st class. Sorry but you’d have to be an absolute numpty to go for it. Plus wonder how far the corner seats are from the actual bar. Might take 5-10 mins to get there at half time. Which basically is pretty useless.

a) The volume of the arena is tiny compared to a football pitch so any noise made seems louder than it is
b) It's a one day year thing for most people there so they're bound to be excited
c) It only actually gets decent when they've been on the Pimms all day
d) The chants you get there make Chelsea and Arsenal fans look original

If you fancy a bit of whatabouttery then just compare the atmosphere for the cricket at Lords to pretty much any of the other test grounds scattered around the country. Lords is full of snobs and the resulting atmosphere is shite.

They should have just made 1882 an optional extra so at least some of the lower priced seats are freed up.

Or make it an open bar (pre/post game) That will certainly increase uptake. Alcohol costs virtually nothing at a commercial level. Especially as we own the brewery.

I don't know about anyone else but the wait is absolute agony.

Having to just sit here helplessly and watch loads of people casually go through and book their perfect seat. Nothing I can do but watch the seats I want slowly disappear knowing that when it's my turn it will be a case of what's left, not what I want.

I've dreamed about the being in the south but don't think there will be any left in phase 6. It's especially difficult as i'm with a group and we want 6 together.

It's not a complaint about phasing, as it needs to be done, but it's absolutely torturous.

This is what makes me happy about being on my own, I can just feed of scraps and don't have to look for more than one seat next to each other.

That's my only hope of getting a half decent seat when my window opens.
