Losing Toby would be a huge loss.
If Toby returns from international duty, fully fit and 100 percent commited I`d start him against Chelsea and in every other subsequent game for the last part of the season. Whether he signs a new contract or not should have no bearing on that decision.
Toby is in his prime, better than Sanchez (who, while talented is still very young and quite raw) and would greatly improve our chances of finishing in the top 4 and winning the FA Cup.
Should we pay him what he wants? I think we should, but even if Levy refuses, it would be a massive waste of talent to have him on the bench or in the stands. Securing a CL place and winning the FA Cup would be massive, especially as it relates to keeping our other key players. Toby, whether he stays or goes could be key to us achieving those crucial goals.
Not a huge loss.Losing Toby would be a huge loss.
Good pointHow motivated will he be though?
Losing Toby would be a huge loss.
is it me, or has he been much more "active" on social media since returning from ujury/recurring injury, like after every game hes always putting the coys hashtage etc, feels like he trying to make thfc out to be the bad guys, as in look i wanna stay, pay me.

A fit, in form, Toby is better than Sanchez. So its a loss. But, the marginal difference between Toby and Sanchez is relatively small. We are on a 12-match unbeaten run in the league with Sanchez, so its not like we have dropped out of the race for the top-4 without Toby - that would be a huge loss.
In an ideal world, Toby and Spurs reach an agreement, and he stays. But, its not the end of the world, if both parties agree that its time to part ways.
Huge loss of he strengthens a rival, but if he goes abroad it’s just a loss to which Sanchez is a capable deputy
This from BEN on FTL yesterday afternoon. Was hoping for some ITK input on this since yesterday...
Another failure the club will try and dress up as a success. At the same time players rarely stay forever unless they are getting paid above market and consistently winning trophies.
To me it seems clear that he is as good as gone and there's no turning back now.
I plugged this into google translate and it came back with "he's gone mate"This from BEN on FTL yesterday afternoon.

To clear things up, we've offered him £110k a week, we're unwilling to do more, think he's mentioned before that this was verbally agreed with Toby before, but agent then wanted the release clause. And what with him being close to 30, his recent injury record, and his agents actions, Poch is a bit pissed off.

Its so easy to blame the Agent when all he was doing was his job. The Agent answers to Toby's wants, not the other way around. Toby is demanding a release clause, the Agent is only voicing this. If Toby was in agreement with the original offer he would have signed and there would be nothing the Agent could do. However the Agent more than likely did recommend or advise Toby to go for the release clause but at the end its Toby's choice. To clear things up, we've offered him £110k a week, we're unwilling to do more, think he's mentioned before that this was verbally agreed with Toby before, but agent then wanted the release clause.
