I did feel dirty saying it buuuut...

Talented passer who can dictate games from deep and join the attack, moves the ball quickly, looks physically the best he ever has done and is coming into his prime. Will be on a free, would be great in those games v bus parkers where we totally dominate possession, and it would totally piss off the scum. He’d no doubt have to pass the most brutal medical.

Added bonus is the meltdown it would cause at the Scumirates. Not quite revenge for Sol, but would be funny.

I surely can’t be the only person to think this?
Flatters to deceive most of the time. Poor positionally, and doesn't actually create that much statistically.

He's one of the player in their current squad i hate the most...because he IS a gunner... apart from him i can't see others that are so proud to wear the shirt or care for their club

He’s a Wham fan that is so desperate for approval that he panders to Arsenal’s moronic fan base by acting like an absolute **** whenever possible - because that’s easier than actually having more than one exceptional game in his career.

Sessegnon

I think we still need a better striker to rotate, and I'm still advocating for Callum Wilson. We don't need the next Harry Kane, just someone who might actually come in and score a goal.

none of the striker you mention would want to be kane's backup

I feel regret.

Still, better than the time (on Christmas Day no less) I wrote an open letter threatening revolt if we signed Bellamy.

I’m getting old...
So you should fee regret! Just remember what forum you are on!! Nobber.

FWIW Bellamy would have been a good signing at the time :cautious:

Love you x

Spurs consider triggering Jonny Evans' £3m release clause if West Brom are relegated

Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs thinking of triggering the £3million release clause in the contract of Jonny Evans if West Bromwich Albion are relegated.

With West Brom bottom of the Premier League table, 10 points adrift of safety, it seems certain that Evans will be available for a cut-price fee in the summer.

Manchester City had been interested in signing Evans, but have since spent £57m on Aymeric Laporte, while Arsenal failed with a January bid for the 30-year-old.

The Gunners could try again for Evans at the end of the season, but may face competition from North London rivals Spurs if they cash in on Toby Alderweireld.

Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Barcelona are all eying moves for Alderweireld, whose talks over a new Tottenham contract have stalled.

Chelsea have also shown an interest in the Belgian, but any deal involving the Blues and Spurs would be extremely difficult due to a strained relationship between the two clubs.

Tottenham may be tempted to sell 29-year Alderweireld for £40m this summer, rather than risk losing him for £25m in 12 months’ time because of a clause in his contract.

With that in mind, Spurs have been forced to consider potential replacements for Alderweireld and Evans is an attractive proposition.

Tottenham already have 21-year-old Davinson Sanchez and 20-year-old Juan Foyth, while Eric Dier can play in a back three if required.

But Evans would give manager Mauricio Pochettino another experienced option without dramatically blocking the progress of either Sanchez or Foyth.

Evans has played in the Champions League for Manchester United and also has played 67 times for Northern Ireland.

United could yet look into re-signing Evans themselves as Jose Mourinho considers how best to re-shape his defence this summer.

Evans was one of the players caught up in the West Brom taxi scandal last month, but he retained the club captaincy and the incident does not seem to have put off potential suitors

On paper Toby out and Evans in is horrendous, but I can see why, he is experienced enough and won't block Sanchez & Foyth developing

Personally I just don't think he is good enough, but could see us get him and Foster if Vorm leaves for free to boost our HG quota

For that price tag, I honestly think that is brilliant business.

A back 2-3 of:

- Jan
- Sanchez
- Dier
- Juan
- Evans
- CCV and other youth?

That is pretty amazing depth IMO. That would save us so much money from the impending Toby departure and he adds depth, experience and can't see him complaining much. Plus he counts towards the all important HG count right?

Not sure about Evans for me there isn’t really another one of our CB’s I would play him ahead of.

On the idea of Wilshere, as a spurs fan I absolutely hate the little div.

From a neutral unbiased point of view, he’s the most over rated player in the country. So no. :)

Definitely reads like Agent work to me because you can profile a player with a low release clause and also with the Toby situation any article can link every major team in Europe ensuring it gets peak visibility.
