Bales a crock, can you imagine paying the money and those wages for around 6 games a season ? No thanks.

I know who the two guys are in your avatar but it still gives me the creeps. They just look remarkably similar to gooner shirts and with a username like "Henry", I tend to regard anything you post with subliminal caution.

I'm not saying he didn't work hard when he was in his early 20's. The player that would be coming back is not the same player though. He is not built to spend 90 minutes chasing balls down now, and the injuries have certainly taken their toll. On top of that is WF really a position we need to bring in now Lucas is here? I mean if it wasn't Bale would we be looking to bring another experienced player in for that position? For me the priorities lie else where.

I've noticed that he does hardly any tracking back since Zidane took over. I think it is tactical, so he's always an out-ball, but it could well be guided by his physical conditioning, a bit like how Ronaldo is used as a striker quite often these days.

Absolutely, I wasn't criticising his conditioning in the slightest as he clearly trains very hard. He just looks far more built for power these days than for spending 90 minutes chasing up and down the pitch. Son on the other hand has the physique of a racing snake, so has little problem in this respect

It's taken Son a long time to fully adapt to Poch's off the ball style despite this, so Bale does seem like too much of a risk to be viable all things considered. It's a wonderfully romantic thought to bring him back for the new stadium though.

How many actually have watched Bale playing for Real? It's very different and difficult, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't enjoy it so much. He has enough money and I never thought it was about money for him. There are other reasons also why I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to come back here, but do we really need him and do we have cash i don't know. But cmon, you don't say no for Bale if everything is right...

Not to mention moving into the NWHL the same season that the prodigal son returns, makes me moist thinking about it.

Snake racing eh?

I've been to the horses and the dogs, but this could top it all.

We'd just love for him to ply his trade with us once again, esp. with poch at the 'elm.

You never know, he maple some other top players to the club.
I'd certainly have him in the lime-up and i dont think he'd make an 'ash of it - i think he wood do oak-k.
He's in his prime, not some an-teak and will always be better than Theo Walnut and Nathan Redwood.
He's birch-ually world class still.

Don't know why people would mope and wenge about his return, when he could be the cherry on our cake

and finally, sorry...
Thats what i love about SC, i get an education concurrent with an update on my beloved team!

If we signed bale we would get 20+ goals per season from him. Along with Kane and the rest of our forward line goal tally. It would be enough for a genuine title push

He is a different player went playing for Madrid, looks like he plays well within himself. I hope he does move somewhere where he's probably valued a lot more because he has a lot more to show than what he does at Madrid.

In saying that, he will never come back here, stop doing it to yourselves people :D

Numbers don't mean a thing. England have 150 times many more people than Iceland but couldn't even beat them in a tournament. In that theory we should be thrashing them
We would've thrashed them if we'd had a manager in charge instead of a vegetable
