I’ve always been it’s gonna be ready mid September. But you’d have to think last week August would be latest for test event. So it’s basically 4 months. They haven’t even started the south stand epic front. It’s really hard to believe in 4 months this will be 100% ready.

Surely no one ever thought it was going to be 100% ready?

So much of the external & internal areas were subject to fit-out at a later date. I was always under the impression the critical stuff will be complete but the lower priority stuff will just be completed in between matches and over next summer

Some internal stuff like offices etc. But surely external will need to be finished. I’d think to get the necessary certificates it would have to be deemed fit for 62k.

Went over there at lunchtime for a general mooch around. Looking good but one hell of a lot of work to do. I’m also finding it difficult to see it finished enough for September. Big funeral also going on today with procession down Park Lane - looks like one of the recent stabbing victims.

Accessibility
The stadium has been designed to be truly inclusive, placing accessible facilities throughout the ground, giving fans the opportunity to sit in all areas of the ground including the single-tier South Stand.
We want to ensure that all fans can enjoy the same exceptional fan experience with excellent amenities and other facilities. We shall also be the first club to offer flexible seating arrangements so that wheelchair users will be able to sit with their families.
The Club has presented to Level Playing Field the plans for our unrivalled accessibility for the new stadium and we are continuing to engage in detailed discussions with the Disabled Supporters Association and other local and national disabled fan groups to ensure we deliver the highest quality inclusive experience for all.

Wheelchair users do not pay less than others , they are charged the same, wheelchair bays from 201 to 213 are £995 , wheelchair bay in 501 is £2200 exactly the same as able 1882 members. Club are not trying to save money on wheelchair space because they pay the same , admittedly wheelchairs they take up more space but that is the same in any public/private building that makes provision for disabled access.
From the perspective of a disabled fan, there's no difference in the price. For the club, there's a huge difference. A carer goes in free of charge, so that's instantly half the revenue they'd get from instead having two able-bodied fans. Beyond that, I expect a wheelchair user and their carer take up more room than two able-bodied fans. You could feasibly have three or four paying fans in the space rather than one. That's a definite incentive for clubs to generally place them in the cheaper areas.

The more roof panels they do the quicker they'll get them in.
Roof, seats, South stand external facia and pitch is surely enough I wouldn't have thought anything else is critical.

Quiet day at work, so bashed this out from 1 year ago, up to today.

Just realised it's not showing to anyone. It's gif from one year ago to today. How do I get gifs to show-up in here, please? Works fine in SSC

Majority of food outlets and bars. All the boxes etc. Very interesting to see how quick south stand front goes up.
