Thought I would pop back to the 'horse's mouth' for the latest I Take Ketamine news. Good to see that Josh is in MP's plans. I thought he might be kept back as a makeweight in any Grealish deal, as he was on loan there last term.

Very concerned about the TA situation. It's a horrific game of brinkmanship with the cards stacked against us as the PL window closes early this year. And Foyth's new injury doesn't help either.

It is my understanding that Martial will be ridiculously difficult, and we don’t have the luxury of going to the wire. We have been given a deadline to agree on Zaha, and it is not the mooted price in the media. I know price, but won’t go public on it.

We are waiting to hear back on another target before we make a decision. Zaha is gettable for many reasons. Parish wants to have a good week to use funds on replacement, and strengthening in other areas. If we don’t step up our obvious interest and engage at the price, that door will shut. Chavs will deal on one of their out players and firm up on Zaha. If Zaha sees this after this week, he will go chavs. And I wouldn’t blame him.

If you knew how difficult we are having it in forward department the dissenters would be clamouring we sign Zaha. If Grealish is not announced tomorrow, Daniel has a decision to make, which will wrankle him. That is the ‘Monday-Wednesday announcement/s’ I was expecting, along with another (whom I know) which is proving difficult. And the ball is in our court on that one. Actually, on both of them. Not referring to Grealish in this comment. But suppose you can apply that also.

I do hope we just sign Zaha and stop messing about. We can't afford to drag this out and then miss out on an alternative as well. Get it done Levy!

Unless the other player is a top class Dembele replacement :cautious:

Thanks Herc!

Makes sense not to pursue Martial if it means we miss out on our alternatives, that would be asking for trouble.
At this point I'd definitely just try and get Zaha, I wouldn't even wait for the other target, we know where we stand with Zaha, get him now before that goes balls up.

Interesting about the Grealish situation, I really hope that still goes through!

Curious to know what decision Levy has to make if Grealish isn’t announced tomorrow as opposed to if he was announced a day after that.. and with this itk, I actually feel very confident that if we want Zaha, he’s available for us.

Cheers Hercules. Got to go for Zaha now then. By all accounts Poch is a huge fan, and it'd be hugely disappointing if we dither and let Chelsea nip in and buy him. Pivotal few days ahead.

Cheers Herc. Not sure how people are reading this as a negative. Just sounds like we have a complex series or decisions to make and a very tight deadline to make them on. Both decisions have consequences and there is no guarantee any decision we make will be 100% right. Trust Levy and co to make whatever decision they think is right and hope everything progresses positively. If not, then we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I think it means that the other one will be a forward player also. Not a CM.

Surely Zaha couldn’t be impacting on our purchase of a CM but we’re not going to sign two forward players.

I took it as...

Zaha/Martial/Other Special
Grealish
Another unnamed player
