Btw. I'm not ITK. I'm not pretending in any way to have connections to anyone that does. But this fella was reasonably well affiliated. Was an interesting chat. Not sure why the goons need him? But anyway. There it is. X

They need him because their other recent big money signings haven't really set the world on fire, and he's a fantastic talent.

Looking forward to the meltdown if Arsenal sign Dembele after the Zaha thing. Surely it will just be a loan if anything.

I spoke to someone today connected to the player (not football connected or family) who stated this Dembele is likely to sign for Arsenal.

Sounds about right the way this window is going.

Goons getting a potentially world class, very exciting player after their worst season in over 20 years.

Meanwhile we had 9 players in the WC semis, a WC golden boot winner, are enjoying 3 years of top 3 finishes and are bringing CL football to a brand new world class stadium, and with just over a week left the manager has no idea if we'll sign a single player, but is likely to lose a top CB to Manchester Utd.

Cheer up. Their defense is still ropey.

Pretty sure the Dembele thing comes down to the Lichtensteiner link (think his brother is Dembele's agent or something crazy like that).

Seems the player wants a move but I hope Barca end up deciding that he's too big a prospect to not keep around. They'd have to sign another forward (in addition to Malcom) for them to even consider it IMO.

It also might be a case of Arsenal and Emery willing to loan the player at the terms that Barca want, whereas Levy is known, I think, to dislike loaning plaers.

A loan now? No pre-season, bedding in players and no guarantee to start. Would fit more there.
