Jack Grealish, as correctly stated by GF. has gone absolutely BALLISTIC!!! The owners have gone back on their word! He is livid!!!

We have said if deal not done now, we will not deal again. He is massively PISSED!

He has made his feelings known to Steve Bruce. Clubs can’t treat players like slaves
Only a matter of time before he changes his name to a symbol.

Trust me mate, go look on Villa talk, they think they’ve magically found a solution to FPP and that their owner has got one over Levy.

Their owners need to make a grealish look like the bad guy here to keep the fans onside if he goes.

To a degree I suppose that's true. Grealish is their one prized asset. As I understand it, the magic number they need to generate is £45m, and they have this window and January to get the funds in. Maybe they are going to gamble on keeping Grealish until January in the hope that (a) they have a good start to the season and (b) Grealish attracts the eye of another PL club thereby driving the price up.

They gambled massively last season (very high wages, including Terry's) and just fell short in the playoffs. If they miss out again, they could be the next Leeds. Another once great club sunk into a black hole.

Feels like we've been here before. I don't know how Villa plan to handle FFP, but we thought WBA and Peace were lying during the Berahino saga as their net spend hit £30m with Rondon breaking their transfer record.

Agree about Jan possibility. Apparently their new owners are worth more than city's, so the villa fans are pretty optimistic about the future and don't fear fines or doing a Leeds anymore. Before the sale they were definitely in line to do a Leeds though.

Berahino did the same thing when West Brom turned down his transfer request and refused to sell him to us. Can't see Grealish doing that to his boyhood club, and can't see how Villa will back down now?

Having two owners to negotiate with might be challenging. Imagine Tweedle Dee Ashley and his twin Tweedle Dum and we might be close to what DL is facing on this.

They might not fear fines, but they'll certainly fear a points deduction or a transfer embargo.

At the end of the day you cant blame the lad tbh theres way too many pros from his perspective to make this move to Spurs. If i was in his position i would be considering a transfer request.

Champions League club in London. Pochettino as your coach is the biggest pull for a player like Grealish especially at his age 22, he most definitely has huge potential and playing alongside the likes of Kane Alli Eriksen Son you can only get better.

I can see this deal happening still but im just annoyed its taken this long. I'm sure behind the scenes were working on a second signing.

It has been said a million times that it has taken so long purely down to Villa’s owners. Nothing to do with us or Levy.

Comprendez?

Agree. If it comes to it, they will probably try a settlement (like QPR did) and try to get out of those penalties or agree some kind of meaningless January window embargo only.

So if they don't make it up this season, they're stuffed. They won't be able to spend a penny of the money they have at their disposal on transfers. The value of Grealish will tank, and that's assuming clubs won't have already moved on. Massive gamble on their part.

It's happened a day early, someone was always eventually going to go off the deep end.

Yep I think that it would be risky. Just talking about the fans attitude and spitballing some possibilities.
