No other set of fans in the top six settle for just making up the numbers like Spurs fans... we demand nothing, they take our money and we think ah well its better than 10 years ago. Its unacceptable and Levy should know we are not happy. I know Spurs fans who have died waiting to see Spurs win the league and I don`t want to be one of them. I think Levy and Poch should take into account how much people invest emotionally and economically in the club. If we can`t afford come clean but dont tell us we have a competitive budget and spend fuck all. I dont believe the rubbish about its so difficult to improve our first 11 because they won nothing so there is still plenty of improvement to be had in my view.. Man City won the league by 23 points and still went and got Mahrez for £70 million. could go on but too angry!

That’s you’re right, I wouldn’t tell you you shouldn’t have your opinion. The problem is in my view, there are simply bigger, richer clubs ahead of us. Football isn’t sport anymore it’s more of a business. We have a Roman who is filthy rich, United arguably the biggest club in the world and City who is owned by a fucking country, not to mention Liverpool who disputes what people think are bigger than us.

If you want to win the league on a regular basis you are not supporting the right club. It’s not nice but it’s how the sport is right now.

Decent enough statement from the trust. But i dont think the club will really address the points they bought up. They’ll big up the stadium project, and the current squad while skimming over not signing anyone and not showing ambition to improve the squad. I highly doubt they’ll address the high season ticket prices or promising prospects leaving the club.

I will say, the only way the stadium would effect our transfer strategy was is if the leeway to spend some more(like 10m max) wasnt there anymore. So the club didnt exactly lie there, in all fairness.

The club is now ready to sell for maximum profit which has appeared to be ENIC’s goal for the last 10 years. They’ve had plenty of opportunities to invest at crucial times to help us win the league and kept their hands in their pockets.

Be brave was Pochettino’s request and Levy responded by buying no one. What an insult. A long list of managers paid with their jobs for Levy’s deadline day mistakes. Poch has made Levy look good and papered up plenty of cracks.

I expect the club to be sold this season.

I hope so. They have done well to get us to this point. This window (and plenty of windows before) has shown exactly why they can’t/won’t take us to the next level. We need owners who are ambitious to try and win trophies. Levy/ENIC clearly are not.

Oh they are ambitious, make no mistake about it! The problem lies in the fact that their ambition, doesn't align itself with ours (fans). ENIC whether we like it or not have saved the club from obscurity and made us into what we are now. For a while, they realised that in order to maximise their ambition, it needed to be parallel with the fans ambition, but now we are at a crossroads where ambition is concerned. They have reached theirs pretty much and once the stadium is fully open, must be ready to cash in. We, on the other hand, have not and our only chance of sustained success is saying goodbye to ENIC and hope we get someone who sees success on the field as a pivotal path to securing their investment because ENIC has never really seen this, as it doesn't need to.

The fact is we bought no-one because we didn't sell. For a long time now we have been doing this and will continue to do so as we pay for the stadium. We still have the southern phase yet to start on. The only way we wont and will be able to invest on the pitch is if new owners come in and pay for the stadium. Somebody ring jim ratcliffe and tell him to forget about chelsea and buy us. Keep levy to run it but get a dof in to negotiate deals. I would be a happy man.

So what has happened to Delle, Eriksen and Jan's supposed new contracts? I was expecting them to be announced by now!

I don’t think it’s quite that simple, the club is undoubtably in a better place right now than it was. Do you want to be owned by the owners of say City or Chelsea? I certainly don’t. Unfortunately that’s what u need to win. I’m sure you will hit me with *oh you wouldn’t care if it meant the success they had* well I really would care, there is more to life than footballing success.

Of course he's not going to say he bottled it.

Our situation with ENIC/Levy reminds me a lot of what our neighbours have been going through over the past few years with Wenger. Part of the fan base appreciates the good work he's done but also recognises that his time is probably up; another part is clinging on to past glories so much that they're unable to accept that maybe he's not what he once was;, and the final part are letting their emotions get the better of them and have developed an unjustified hatred for him, ignoring any past achievements.

Make no mistake, Levy and ENIC have done an exceptional job since taking over: our league positions, the football we play, the star players we've had, Champions League football - nearly everything about the club has improved, and the stadium is shaping up to be the icing on the cake.

But, without knowing all the facts of course, this is the first time I've got the feeling that we'd be better served if we had a Man City/Chelsea style backing behind us. This transfer window, for many reasons, was arguably the most important in our recent history, and we've ballsed it up in a way none of us could have possibly imagined. A lot of us were cautious of being able to secure our top targets, but after Poch signed his contract in May, I don't think anyone was predicting a grand total of zero signings.

This is a sad day.

Everybody's talking about "earning success" and "doing it the right way" and how proud they are of the club for that, until a summer where they don't get their transfer hype injection.

Then it's "get rid of them" and "let's buy success", now I may be wrong but I think this is down to us challenging for a league while the bigger teams were in transition and now they expect us to be brawling with the heavyweights regularly and in every area.

I don't really have a problem with this, I am hungry for silverware too, but don't make fun of City and Chelsea and then ask us to do the same.

What it is is having no money to buy players because we are paying for the stadium. We have not even started on the southern phase yet. Do you really want to have a zero net spend for the next 3-4 years? We got away with it because we had the likes of pritchard, townsend, mason etc... coming through the ranks that we sold. Now a lot of our youth players are going abroad for nothing. Kane obviously also helped.

If something doesn't change then we will regress.

I had thought that the increased revenue from the stadium would mean that we could invest in the squad but doesn't seem to be the case.

So i would like new owners that can pay off the stadium and invest in the squad. We don't need a sugar daddy continually pumping money in just one that will give us a level playing field and let us invest the money we make as a club into the team.
