Yeah i can't believe we are paying that much per game. After all the deal for this season was agreed last year as the option was part of the deal when we first agreed last seasons move to Wembley. I can't see why the FA would offer such a good deal for the season that they knew we would be there and then should an expensive deal for any potential follow up games.

I dont car how little West Ham are paying, I hate that stadium. I'm so glad we're building this amazing one instead and staying in Tottenham.

I'd much rather be staying in Tottenham agreed, but the gimme catapult West Ham have received without earning their way to it shouldn't be ignored. Taxpayers money will continue to line their shady pockets for years to come

Indeed it's criminal. They pay hardly any rent and don't pay for many of the associated costs i.e stewarding. Whilst i obviously would much rather play in tottenham at our own stadium, it still doesn't make it right that West Ham are being subsidised by the taxpayer.

I've just had a thought. What if they are waiting until after the champions league draw on the 30 August to give us more info as to the first game. If we draw a big gun from pot 1 then you can bet Levy will be wanting to open the stadium up against Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich. He'll want that home game at the new stadium and nothing better would it be for it to be the first game in there.

I'm pretty sure the first game will take place as soon as the new stadium is ready to host a game, regardless of who it's against.

Anyone would think their owners made a big donation to the party in government and that one of their directors was a government minister :cautious:

I also doubt they’d want 1st game to be an evening fixture. Although would look great for TV I doubt logistically it would be ideal.

I'm not sure the 12:30 against Liverpool was ideal either. Once the stadium passes the test events we move straight in. The fixtures fall when they fall, the first home game is what it is. I do think a lot of fans will look to turn up as early as possible though. I certainly will for the first game I go to. I might even camp outside the day before like when people queue for a new computer game. God knows what the travel will be like. Maybe a delayed kick off for the opening game awaits.

What these morons fail to understand is that the only team at a disadvantage are us.. how anyone thinks it’s an advantage is beyond me

If you reversed it say Chelsea had been at Wembley and had our record. Would I rather play them at Wembley or new bridge this season. I’d probably opt for Wembley still but wouldn’t be much in it. The argument is it isn’t a level playing field for the rest.
