We were not as crap as most were making out in the Match Thread melt down. We have played worse this season and have won (Manu for example). I think conceding the early goal threw a spanner in our game plan

The ref was consistently bad IMO so it evened it self out

Lamela my MOTM

Sissoko :(

Lloris 1 - first goal fcuked us, but then carried on being stupid with his decision making. Was a stupid day for him.
Trips 5
Davies 5
Toby 6
Sanchez 6
Winks 5 ( would be 4 but last 20 mins was better)
Wanyama 3
Lamela 8 - genuinely our best player at the moment
Son 5
Lucas 7 - looked dangerous, unlucky not to score
Kane 7 - worked hard and scored

Sissoko 3
Dier 4

Feel torn as the only 2 teams I love played each other.

I'll give proper rating in a while when my heart rate goes back to normal. Lamela, Alderweireld and Kane all have good games. Winks was excellent for 20 minutes or so in the second and it's something we need to see more of.

I think there were a lot of positives from today. All the starting XI did well apart from Son and Hugo imo. Play like that in the Prem and we will make top four without any worries. Missed Jan at the back and the bench was weak because of the injuries but all in all I thought that was a very hard fought game with every player giving everything, under very difficult circumstances.

Oh and Sissokko was an utter disaster.

Poch a 3? What more could he of done with our injuries. Think that's a harsh rating!

Has to be Lamela. In the first half he basically was the entire pressing effort, the only one really able to get in their faces and at least give them a bit of hassle. And as the rest of the team stepped it up in the second half he still led in the effort stakes. Absolutely deserved the bit of good fortune for his goal after running himself into the ground for the cause.

Not start 2 full backs who havent even had as much as a meh game for Spurs since May? Not starting with a back 4? We were always farrrr too open.

Although Kane worked hard and scored a lovely goal.
Winks looked like the Winks of old for a period which is encouraging.

Levy/MP (-5) - there were players out there who should have moved on by now.
We need a director of football to handle this.

Sissoko :(

if only he was good at shooting, other than the losing control near the end that made it 4-2 he actually did a job.

the only player that deserves any real criticism is Lloris, gifted them the 1st goal, and his footwork just isn't good enough.

if we could play like we did in the 2nd half, and good bits of the 1st half we will have a good season, because we are not going to face that class and precision of passing. if they were a PL team they would walk it before a ball is kicked (on that performance).

the score flattered us, even though we looked pretty good ourselves at 3-2
