Can't wait to read the defence of Eriksen again today. I suspect BC will claim "he saw more of the ball than anyone else" and a few will chime in with how much he ran. Great, why don't we sign Mo Farah?

Utterly pathetic how this guy turns up for Denmark game after game yet is so half arsed when it matters for Spurs. He has so much quality and shows it 10 times per season.

10 times a season? What absolute bloody nonsense. He has been one of the main reasons we've finished top four for the last few seasons. Every player has a dip in form from time to time, you know what they say about form and class. Give him a break.

he was actually pretty good in the first half, I thought. he made a beautiful cross that might have led to a goal had Moura not checked his run. Liverpool adjusted at the half and gave him less space to work in.

I was wondering if his head had been turned ?

I'm not to suggest it has but he's at least playing like someone who's had their head turned, doesn't look greatly bothered. He's been so below his best.

I would just like to see him floating around the midfield, calling for the ball more and trying to orchestrate play, because he certainly has the ability to do so with good effect.

Actually to be greatly honest, he also looks like someone who needs competition for his place, like he's in a massive comfort zone right now.

Play Lamela there for a game or two.

I love Eriksen, but he has been easily one of our worst players of the season so far. Pochetino should leave him in the bench for the inter game and maybe that will spark some fight inside him.

Erik Lamela is showing way more attitude and game changing skills so far, Pochetino has a very easy decision to make here.

If he is wondering why he plays for Tottenham and not Barcelona it's because he starts every season like this. Bar Modric, he is our most talented midfielder of the last quarter century, but for some reason he always takes until December to get going.

Shocking performance yesterday.

Let's hope he's not going away for international duty then.
He really needed a rest as with Dele and are now getting one.

A few snippets coming out regarding Eriksen’s injury in Danish media today: according to the national team coach Aage Hareide, Eriksen’s had the issue for a while and it could potentially become chronic, which is ‘probably’ what Tottenham fears. Hareide finds it ‘unlikely' that he will feature for Denmark against Ireland, and he doesn’t know whether we're talking days, weeks or months out. Hopefully he’s just a bit dramatic and bitter that he isn't available for the coming games, but certainly hope the club will report something positive soon.

Hope this is not a Collitis type problem for him and he suffers the way Darren Fletcher did. If it is that it is a very debilitating condition.

Feeling this has got lost in translation a bit “chronic” is often a worded that gets thrown around by foreign coaches without the true meaning.

“Had the problem for a while” is so vague could cover 2 weeks to 6 months. Considering eriksen has covered most yards of any player in PL. it hardly sounds like he’s be nursing some injury for months. I suspect he will be fine for West Ham.

Yeah, I've got that. It's shit. Complete freak that Fletcher could play as he did.

He also goes on to say “ we can’t lure him to Ireland, Tottenham aren’t keen” why would he be talking about luring him anywhere if he was seriously injured. Sounds like a load of gobbledygook to me.
