I really hope we dont have those stupid flags that are waved after goals ala Arsenal.

That said, hopefully we wont have the room as we are so much closer to the pitch

I was thinking exactly the same, they are an embarrassment. Chelsea have them too. Very amusing when they start waving them and the goal gets disallowed.

Will it? I didn't know that.

Indeed, like so:

Not a lighting expert but hope the light bleeding from inside doesnt destroy the LED effect. Normally id trust the engineering behind it but with the clusterfeck with the safety systems i am more sceptical. But if it looks like in the render then it will look pretty cool though

They are waved for the TV really - the fans are mostly out of shot when a goal is scored, but the flag waving gives the impression the fan celebrations are much closer to the pitch.

By the way, I think it is only the new park lane stand that is closer to the pitch compared to the emirates. There's a picture somewhere on this thread.**

**edit. It seems I remembered wrong. Very very happy to be corrected on this. Thanks!

Yes that's correct because the North stand has those grow lights stored behind the goal

The flags and scarfs for me make the Liverpool and Dortmund ends look more 'busy' so gives a more packed feel

Sorry stupid question time I think I know the answer.

Is the media cafe for the public or just the media. Presuming it’s the public and it’s like some kind of sports bar but a cafe ?

I think the main concern is of the curved structure which doesn't have those panels on. So the veil will light up around it but not the other bit where you can see the escalator from outside. It doesn't look great at this moment but we'll have to see when it's finished. I think the issue with the pictures at this time is there's still much work going on and the internal lights are probably exagerated for workers to see what they're doing.

The more I look at it the more I dont really understand why the veil is shaped that way. I'm not sure why it has this v shape rather than wrapping all around the stadium like the Alianz Arena does. I guess they just want a more distinctive one than the Alianz. I'm sure it will look great when it's finished.

The major difference is that with every row the emirates gets further from the pitch so by row thirty you are only as far back as row twenty at the emirates.

I understood what he was trying to say but there was a typo. Did you really not understand the point?
