Edwards is done isn’t he ? Shame I’d imagine this was his last chance and looks like he’s fallen off the radar. Have to hold my hands up and say I got this one totally wrong was convinced he was gonna be the real deal. You never know there might be a miraculous renaissance but seems highly unlikely for him now.

His far from done, his not the first young lad to have a couple of bad loans

It doesnt look good atm, but people need to keep in mind that progress isnt linear. Not saying Marcus will make it with us, we need to remain patient.

i think he could have a trajectory similar to mahrez, who at marcus' age was playing in the french 4th tier. at 22/23 he was still in the 2nd tier with 6 goals in 60 games to his name. it wasn't until his mid 20s where it all came together, not saying we can wait until marcus is 25 but just because he's not tearing it up at 19/20 doesn't mean there's no hope for him. his game has changed in the past few years from a pocket #10 to wide attacker, he's small and still has some physical development left to go through. the biggest question over him is if he can handle it mentally, i think the best thing for him now would be to get back here and trust the path the club has laid out for him. like kwp it may take longer than we'd ideally like but if he sticks at it he will get there eventually, if he were to leave in the summer then i think it could all get away from him very quickly.

That Frank Lampard clip where he says about youth team players not clicking on quick enough when they get to the first team environment sounds like it applies here.

It’s been said a million times, it’s not just about talent, even when you have as much talent as Marcus Edwards.

We don’t really know, and much like Ryan Mason or Mahrez as previously mentioned it could all come together for him still.

Lampard was far from a great talent apparently, I’ve heard Redknapp say the coaches at West Ham were telling him he’d never make it but lampard refused to give up and kept on training, considering the career he had it’s proof mentality is the most important thing

I’d bring Edwards back in January give him Nkoudou squad place and just see what happens. Nothing to lose really for him or us. We might get some easy FA cup games he can feature in.

That was Frank Lampard Senior not Junior. The coaches said he was too slow, so he sprinted every day to improve. Some of the West Ham fans questioned why Lampard Junior was in the 1st team at 17 instead of Matt Holland but the coaches always rated him.

Correct. But Lampard Junior also stayed after training doing sprints and the like. H said the father and son were the best two trainers he had ever seen. Mill's point stands that mentality means much more than your skills. It's when players put both together that they are really special.

I'd only give a squad place to players that deserve it and whilst he's very talented I suspect he currently doesn't deserve it.

Imagine the message that sends to other hard working youth players. Not a good one I suspect

Luhukay gone .

Good for Onomah?

Not if they get Steve Bruce as a replacement. I just hope we recall him soon and try and integrate him into the team. We're struggling as it is to keep players healthy and I highly doubt we'll make any purchases in the transfer window. Our January fixtures will truly push the team and we need CM cover during that stretch.

Vs Cardiff - Jan 1st
Vs Tranmere ( FA CUP) - Jan 4th
Vs Chelsea ( LC) - Jan 8th
Vs Manu - Jan 13th
Vs Fulham - Jan 20th
Vs Chelsea ( LC) - Jan 23rd
Vs Watford - Jan 30th

You have to love Andros, good crop of players quite a few made it to the premier league. Who was the other real character in the group?

Oscar Jansson- playing GK for Orebro in Sweden
Cameron Lancaster- playing in the US (2nd division, but scoring a lot)
Milos Veljkovic- playing for Werder Bremen
Jack Munns- playing for Dagenham
Jordan Archer- playing for Millwall

The others, Carroll, Mason, Kane you know all about

Veljkovic isn't there from what I can see. If you're talking about the guy on the far right that's not him,but his name escapes me.
Jesse Waller-Lassen apparently at Bishops Stortford there and also Pritchard
