I think this was the pick of them all.

'Quality wise they’re not the greatest but their players play for their manager week in week out, no primadonnas, no one holding their club to ransom and no demanding ridiculous wages. It’s strange for modern players to be that way but I think that’s why they’re doing well.'

I blame Care in the Community. In the olden days such people would be locked up but now they are out and about and allowed to post on the Internet.

From red cafe in a thread called A serious look at Mauricio Pochettino

Was he quizzed about the Man Utd job at all today? Either pre or post game?

The Spurs press officer has threatened anyone who asks that question will be hunted down and cut like a fish.

It tells me that I'm apparently the only Spurs fan in this thread who doesn't think that Pochettino is even considering a move to United. This doesn't mean my view is wrong.

oh christ is that glaston spur fan still in la la land thinking Spurs are a better prospect than United?

Don’t get those getting on to Glaston tbh. Considering the facts of what happens out on the pitch, he speaks far more truth and sense than most United fans do when it comes to matters pertaining to United/Spurs. In my humble opinion. Seems for the last few years the best we can come up with can be summarised as ‘we have more money than you’.

That said, for balance sake, the gap between us and Spurs is not as big as he makes it. The reality is the expectation is massively different between both clubs. We’ve won more trophies than them post-Fergie, finished ahead of them last season, and I’m pretty sure have at least an even head-to-head post Fergie. But they are clearly a better side, there has been no outflux lf talent, their manager has so far resisted temptation, and they have kept going in spite of spending less money than us.

Good post. Agree with most of that.

Can’t help but realize that most of his attacking game plan is heavily dependent on Harry Kane’s surprisingly amazing hold up play up front. A lot of the chances they create is a long pass down the side or middle to son/Ali/Kane who more often than not have a knack on controlling a very difficult pass.

It’s not too unsimilar to Mourinhos set ups where he essentially relies on individual brilliance up front. I wouldn’t want to see that at United.

However, Pochettino seems like a much better man manager and will more often than not get the best out of individuals more so than Mourinho. For that reason alone I wouldn’t mind him here at United

Regarding if he would come or not. Why not? It’s spurs

Also in another thread about Liverpool winning the league, they are arguing who they prefer to win it, couple hoping us or Chelsea and some even preferred city over Liverpool.

I think that knack is commonly referred to as "skill".

I mean, I can see where you're coming from, but naah .

Personally, I'd rather Man City won it every year until we do, because it's easy to dismiss. I don't want any glory shared around unless we get a taste, and there's not really any glory in what Man City have done anyway.

2-5. Lets hope they all get salmonella from the turkey

I think Harry Kane likes eating ‘Cherry Cake’ as well

Looking forward to playing them on Boxing Day .....................NOT!

Yes, ideal London runabout.

Better in Bournemouth, I suppose.

But I do mutter "wanker" under my breath whenever I see one of those lumbering obstructively around the streets of London, looking for a parking space big enough for a lorry. They're most common in the wealthier neighbourhoods of the congested West End, which tells you how much driving one of those has to do with practical transport considerations.

Perfect for Cornwall, where I live. Only the older models mind- the modern ones look like they should be driven on the set of I-Robot

Yes, I like to think of it as City, PSG, etc. are just PTW teams. The don't have to play by the same rules as other teams, it's as if they get to put out 12 players or start each game with a free 1-0 lead. Their results don't really count, since don't have to obey the rules. True also of Chelsea (though more in the past). Pool decided to buy into the club to some extent this year and try to buy the title, and looks like it might be working, so can't fault the strategy.

So yes, City winning the title doesn't bother me much, since it doesn't really count.

Have to disagree, I’d stomach Liverpool winning the league if it meant the Spammers getting relegated, a loathsome club from top to bottom with the porn kings at the top and knuckle dragging racists at the bottom.

Disagree.

West Ham will get relegated at some point without a need for a deal.

Liverpool not winning the Prem is just really funny. So good seeing their fans genuinely believing themselves top dogs despite no Prem titles.

Solskjaer and Carrick put United on a great run to overhaul Chelsea and Arsenal for 4 th place and quarter finals of CL .Lose to us in FA Cup Final. They get confirmed with United on a 5 year contract, while Poch extends to Spurs for a further 5 years after we finish champions ahead of City and Pool . Piers Morgan presents Hugo with the trophy at our new stadium where Apple invest 500m for the stadium to be called the New White Hart Lane MAC stadium.

I gave you a dislike because I don't want to see us become partners with Apple.
