It really annoys me when pundits hit us with the squad depth stick at times like this ...

How would Liverpool fare without Salah, Mane, Shaqiri, Milner, Henderson, Fabinho, & Wijnaldum?
How would Man U manage without Rashford, Martial, Lingaard, Pogba, Herrera, Matic, & Fred?

They are similar situations to us having to cope with injuries to Kane, Son, Moura, Dembele, Dier, Wanyama, & Sissoko.

When did Poch ever buy a player and put them straight into the first XI? I think he'll trust Skipp and probably Foyth to cover in midfield with Dier and Winks bearing the brunt. Sissoko is apparently not too bad either. As I said earlier, it's time to switch to a back 3 with WBs getting balls into the box for Llorente up front and Dele playing off him. That covers our lack of midfielders and plays to Llorente's strengths.

Thing is the only real dead wood in the squad we need to replace is Llorente Nkoudou and maybe wanyama. If we panic buy a striker or CM we are pretty much stuck with them and it takes away a more considered summer buy. Ask long as Dier and moura are fit I think we can stumble through till Son gets back.

We coped when Harry was injured before.
But Son is away.
Need to keep Llorente.
He's looking sharper.
Play Dele off him.
At least the fixture list
is kind for a few games.

Two exceptions
test it
to destruction.

wanyama......I can do this all day (well maybe not:sneaky:)

edit*

in reality

Son
Toby
Wanyama
Dier
Sanchez

were all thrown straight into the starting 11 upon signing , so it's a myth that he doesn't probably reinforced by Lucas. If youre good enough, and fit then you're in

Son really had to wait a season to become a regular starter and considered leaving at the end of his first season. It was reported at the tiem that he stayed after a frank discussion with Poch that summer and never looked back.

Ah well. Time for Llorente to show his worth and land himself a great move once the season is done?

Fail to win Sunday and I can see this escalating to a mini-crisis!:ROFLMAO:
