The summer won't be any easier. Sorting out visas and work permits for any Europeans and South Americans with European great grandads will be a nightmare after Brexit. It'll take months for Immigration to sort stuff out - Players bought on deadline day in the summer, won't know if they can stay until after Christmas.

Yeah, that’ll be why Russian, American, Brazilian, Argentinian, Chinese, Japanese and Ukrainian clubs can’t sign any players. If only they were in the EU.

DL will be grateful to Llorente for that late winner, because i think the reaction of the fans would have been different to our lack of signings if we weren't sitting pretty 7pts clear of 4th .

Yeah the results midweek really made top4 seems very likely now, we had a chance to pull away, although coupe of bad results and I'll flipflop my opinion.

No thread on him but one of those reliable Belgian journos from HLN saying we offered a 5 million for Batshuayi on loan but were declined

I thought the mood was pretty relaxed yesterday and 99% of posts were in good spirits, which is either a testament to how well the team has done given everything throwm all their way or we all have been waterboarded into believing this is all fine.

Those late winners at Fulham and Watford went a loooooong way towards keeping the mob at bay. Hopefully we don't s*** the bed now the window has closed!

From what I can gather his agent contacted us to say he was available for loan, and that was about it.

Does anyone in their right mind think Levy would offer 5mil for a player for just 4 months?

Personally wouldn't want any chavski players on loan. I'd sign someone like Hazard permanently as much as I detest him. Taking them on loan without fixed agreement to buy would basically be putting their players in the shop window and helping them increase their prices. We'd also be giving one of our biggest competitors an insight into how we do things in the club.

Good luck to him and Palace I think he needs to be the main man in a team to give him an ego boost and he will certainly be that at Palace.

I don't like using the word but this transfer window was so 'Spursy' The chairman finally decides to open his wallet and the manager tells him not to bother. I'm not going to go too deep into it as I have already covered it before but the manager clearly has a plan of action and a lot of belief in what he already has. I just hope this doesn't blow up in his face because this window was totally 100% down to him.

Two windows zero signings. Going to be an extremely interesting summer transfer window coming up. Something has to give. Especially given the uncertainty surrounding Eriksen and Alderwield. Have feeling Wanyama and surely Jansen will be moved on and maybe even GKN. By sounds of it as well one of the right backs might go and not forgetting vorm. Given all that s got to hope we have some sort of plan in place to bring new players in and the earlier in the window the better.

Chances of prices falling in the summer are nil. City will be re-stocking after they lose the title, PSG will go again when they don’t win the CL. When your wealth gushes out of the ground there are no limits to how you spend it. No doubt you will be here again in the summer defending our next bout of inactivity, pointing to the ITK saying Poch is happy with kids in nappies. Not picking on you, it’s just you are the first of the BSoDL to post and I’m just stunned by how gullible and passive you all are.

Don't forget that Real are lacking a couple of superstars atm, Barcelona probably want to replace Suarez soon, Bayern need to rebuild..

I agree but these journalists have literally 100% success rates. They aren’t like our bullshit press. They seem to know the Belgium players really well.

Wouldn’t shock me if we offered 5 million if it was also that we had an agreed summer price of 30 million or something

My only real hope was to sign someone up for the Summer like Liverpool did with Keita. Berge would have done for me but I really have no idea what level of player Poch is after with nobody seeming to be on his wish list apart from players way out of our reach. I hope to God we get some business done early in the Summer because otherwise we'll be trotting out the 'no pre-season/needs time to get up to speed' stuff until next Christmas.

After 2 windows with no signings one would hope we have a clear plan on targets for summer, and even gone as far as opening channels of communication to find out if the player would happily join.

Of course, as often told by ITK, things can change rapidly regarding signings, but if this upcoming summer was always the planned time regarding signings, surely alot of the groundwork would've been done. ??

Didn't expect alot this window in fairness, maybe one or a little surprise, but summer window best deliver, interesting times ahead.

Big thank you to @Archibald&Crooks and all who provide a platform and ITK for our info fix. (y)(y)

Winter transfer window has been different than any other I can remember. Man Utd/ Liverpool/ Spurs/ Everton signed nobody, Arse got 1 player each on loan, Chelsea one on loan and one for the summer, City signed 2 youngsters. No clubs went crazy and splashed the cash, other than the odd big signing for Newcastle/ Bournemouth. Clubs recognising what Spurs been saying for years, that winter not a good time to shop unless you're buying yourself out of trouble.

With respect to other reliable ITKs, JJ is really excellent this window.
JJ is always excellent. Clearly the ITK closest to proceedings in the club. Objective with his info as well, and it's clear when something is pure opinion. It has been excellent having him back with info this window, as he's been almost retired for some time (y)

Think there was a snippet of ITK abut Levy asking for an extra million for Janssen loan ??

Has there been anything else as to why Janssen didn't get loaned out ??
