Ah here we go again blaming one individual player for a collective loss....

He was very good in the first half but people will still say he’s not good enough blablabla do you seriously expect a 21 year old who never plays to just play brilliantly throughout the whole game?

Imo now is the time to keep giving him game time so he can actually develop

And this is why we don’t see more of him.

Is he always poor because he doesn’t get enough minutes or is he just not good enough?

Either way... I don’t want to see him again.
Up until he overplyed for his error this was his best game for us to date.

The issue with him, for me, is that he seems very immature and needs solid development.

Said he wouldn't make it here as a FB, but today I saw something that at least gave me hope that he might yet come through.

No need to pity the lad, he simply hasnt taken his chance. It's a shame he's obviously talented but he hasnt been sharp enough to make the position his own.

how was the first goal his mistake? 2nd goal he has to take a foul there to stop a probable goal, just unfortunate that they stick it in from the resulting free kick.
He got caught ball watching and was slow to react to whoever it was made the run.

Frustrating real opportunity to make the position he's and he was caught flat footed far too often.

I thought he started well but when he dribbled into danger in the second half, he basically invited the pressure which led to their goal. I can understand the argument that he's 21 and never get games so can't expect him to come in and be better than what we have but there's been a few defensive lapses now where it's obvious to see why he hasn't convinced Poch. The problem is they will only get fixed by playing, my opinion he needs a Loan at a different club where he's going to get 40 games. I thought it was arrogant of Poch to play him whilst dropping Aurier and Alder.

The first goal he switches off and gets caught with the run in behind (though a lot happens after that......), the second goal we are exposed to a break from turning the ball over farcically, again, and he decides to make a pretty cynical professional foul to stop the danger run. No problem with that, that they banged in the freekick is unlucky.

In general he had a pretty solid game and looked a bit more aggressive, nimble, and confident on the ball today at senior level. And he was the latest of our fullbacks to suffer second half from our ultra narrow, no help, tactics that we make them endure most weeks.
