I find it slightly amusing at the readiness to write of CCV who has enjoyed reasonably successful loans whilst the apparent clamour for Marcus to succeed despite when watching him he looks miles away.

CCV isn't particuarly slow and certainly not for a centre back, he perhaps doesn't have immediate acceleration and perhaps lacks a second gear but slow isn't something I would label on him. Distribution wise he is safe but he can defend and thats an under rated attribute and in that respect he will only get better with experience

I’m sure someone who had something to do with the youth team posting on here that over distance ccv was one of the fastest in his age group.

Years ago Townsend and Walker were on tv, when they were both here along with bale and Lennon, said kaboul was the fastest over distance in the squad. Some cb’s may well lack acceleration and agility but they can still be fast

problem is the first yards are usually the most important, ccv may start picking up speed at 20-30 yards(i'm still sceptical in his case tbh) but by that time you're probably done for in a match situation.

Kaboul was always a visibly quick CB, King as well, you could never say they were slow.

It's good CV is getting games though, but particularly with Foyth and Sanchez being two young CBs I think it's unlikely he will make it here

Are we certain he’s not a better defender than Foyth? Better footballer Foyth may be but I know who I’d rather have against the likes of Deeney and Barnes. Could do a lot worse than loan Foyth out next season and have CCV as fourth centre back (depending on what happens with the Belgians).

Having seen Foyth defend one on one against Zaha on a number of occasions v Palace recently. CCV Is nowhere near him. He is above Sanchez in my opinion . If he had made those mistakes v Arsenal he would have been battered by some on here. Class player give him a chance.

Foyth is nowhere near as good as Sanchez. He is very very raw at the moment and is understandably a liability at times due to him learning when he can and can’t dangle a leg at the top level. Sanchez is well past that stage

Excellent game against City today. Robbed on the penalty decision, clearly won the ball.

Let's see how our defenders fare.... CCV laid down a fairly high marker

C C V. unlucky with penalty but it is City and any luck they have is always in there favour.
Just listening to that smug C...T who is the manager of city makes me want to puke.

Is he ready for our first team squad? Genuine question as I didn’t see the game.

Hard to judge on that as he was playing LB. but what he had to do he did pretty well. I’d just worry about his mobility he looks like a rugby player more than a footballer.

it wasn't a pen... good tackle if VAR was an option, and the ref bothers to take a look, I think it would have not been given. he got to the ball.

we have seen those kind of tackles given, also sometimes not given. the point of var was to always reduce mistakes. unfortunately for swansea 2 goals were from mistakes. city always has the luck.

We do sometimes need our defenders to just ‘defend’. So, so many of the goals we concede are from our own errors, sometimes there is nothing wrong with clearing your lines and resetting.

Not sure if CCV will ultimately make it, but with our issues with home grown numbers and Toby likely to move on in the summer, I would keep Cameron at the club for next season (if the decision to sell him hasn’t already been made). He would be fine a fine 5th choice CB given we are playing three at the back more often

Probably ends the second half of the season as Swansea’s second best player behind Dan JAMES he’s been excellent.

I doubted him at first but he’s shown real potential in the last few months even watched him dribble passed four men today

Question for you. Were he a Swansea youth product rather than our own player loaned out, would you be looking at him thinking ‘worth a punt’?

Ummmm when you watch him next to joe rodon who I was keen for us to sign I would say on raw defending probably

But he does lack the skill on the ball of rodon who’s like a young John stones but he’s improved in this front and for braver he’s developing.

I would be happy to give him a chance as 4/5th choice but I think he lacks the speed on the turn to deal with your messi’s etc in fact I think he will end up as a lower premier league player.

I think if we could get him a loan to a Brighton etc it would show us
