Ok thank you for your prompt response. Think dad and I may not get Thomas cook package, we were phase 3 and I bought our match tickets just before 11am this morning.

If you don’t get TC flights, try Sport options - they were taking bookings when I looked this afternoon

There are new ST holders with almost 180 Points who have only just missed out on a ticket. As others have mentioned points can be built up quite quickly. I would imagine if we get to a European in say two or three years, new ST holders will definitely get a ticket
More controversially, if we e.g. reached the FA Cup final, a lot of old ST holders who don't go to home games against Rochdale, Newport etc will find that they can't get tickets and will presumably not be best pleased.

By that number then, do we think there are 2000 odd tickets remaining? or is it a case of free for all and if youre lucky youre lucky in getting the tickets?

I think there must be enough tickets for everyone who has over 188 loyalty points to get one, otherwise it seems a bit unfair on someone with 206 or 207 points. Although they did say tickets would be sold on a first come first served basis, which would suggest there might not be one for everyone who qualifies for phase 4. I hope there are enough for everyone though as I have 200 points. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, me too. Some loyalty is worth than others it seems. All the tickets I picked up that were returns and no one wanted, counted for nothing.

They way they structured it, the pre-Wembley ST holders will always be above us. Anyone aged below mid-40s will just have to wait for ST holders above to die or emigrate to work their way up.

I've been on the waiting list since i could afford an ST (2010). I've been a gold member since I became a ST holder and almost every game I can aside from about 4 or so and i'm no where near the 4th window (146 points)

I've not qualified for a single away game this season anywhere. Not even a 12:30 KO in Newcastle. That means the ST holders above me will always accrue points and the same rate or faster than me. It's going to be a decade or more before I can start going to most away games let alone European final tickets.

totally understand you are gutted, there are many that are, but (not speaking for myself) I bet there are loads of members out there that couldn't afford a season ticket, that have still gone home, away and abroad this year, but won't even get the opportunity to get the chance of a ticket. there will be members out there with bundles of points, but don't get a look in because they couldn't afford a ST. there will be ST holders that have only been going for 2 or 3 years that have been to every game at home, got enough points but never seen us play away and will be heading to Madrid

I’m a long way short of mid 40s, over a decade in fact. I qualified for phase 1. I’m not rich, I’m not even local any more.

Have you considered that the fans who stuck by the club through genuine awful times, long before this current evolution started in 2004, way back even when we got relegated, would be absolutely horrified if they missed out to people who’ve only been going since our ST capacity doubled due to Wembley, I.e. fans who only started going during our best period in decades?

I could be wrong but I'm 99% sure from a couple of people I've spoken to that as someone who only got an ST at Wembley you could have gone to every home game and applied for every away game and you still wouldn't have enough points for the CL Final, so it's impossible for them too. But it's definitely a sad indictment that those who can't/couldn't afford the huge cost of an ST will never be able to go to see us play in a cup final.

I've a friend that had 320pts, and has only had a ST for 2-3yrs but goes to all home games, he isn't going he is passing it on to a friend (unfortunately I'm not high on the friends list)

That's just not possible in that time frame. Assume he's Gold, that's 120 points. 33 points for the league games at Wembley. At most 25 a season for home cup games and that's generous. Adds up to 228, throw in a small number of away games he'd have been eligible for and it's 250 max. I'm guessing he got it back in 2014 or 2015, certainly not one of the 20k+ who got it at Wembley.

(Only other thing I can think of is a Ticket Office fuck-up. Quite a few ST holders kept their membership points for a little while when they weren't meant to, but everyone I knew had it changed when the office realised what'd happened. Maybe he's got extremely lucky and they missed him?)

I understand the emotion involved and how upsetting it must be to miss out, I’ve spent the last day of my life constantly refreshing my emails until I saw that Thomas cook email at 6pm tonight and was palpitating over the possibility of missing out. However, what way of selecting fans could possibly be fairer than first rewarding those who have each season committed to a seasons worth of matches before a ball is kicked, regardless of form, signings, etc by giving them priority?

Obviously the fairer thing to do would be to give 80% of the stadium to those fans rather than 40%, but alas that isn't happening any time soon.

Rightly so, these people don’t deserve a ticket. My mate has 207 points and has eventually got a ticket. He went to about 4 matches at Wembley last season but is moaning about the allocation process

Not really possible as all the away games I applied for needed more than twice my points as a bare minimum to get a look in, that is even low level games. Just had a season ticket for two years, Gold membership, been to home cup matches etc but still not made 150 points
