I actually think Real would be a bad move for him. I think he is at his right level with us. real fans have variously given Bale, Modric and even Ronaldo a whole bunch of stick, can you imagine how tolerant they will be of Eriksen.

Besides can they really afford another £80-100m player. I’ve been reading lots about how their finances are not great, that they had to sell Ronaldo to stay in the black and had to borrow to meet pay for their semi-annual wage bill. borrowing money to meet normal working capital commitments is not a sign of financial health.

Regardless, if he forgoes then he goes with my best wishes, 6 great years of service and some wonderful memories.

I believe that was Barcelona, but I could be wrong. These two always seem to find a way to get out of a hole though.

And they are going to spend half a billion euros on another stadium renovation including a roof etc.

I can honestly see Bayern making a concrete push for him. They have the money to spend if necessary, even though this isn’t their general modus operandi they are losing two talismans and need to give the fans something to be excited about. I honestly think Eriksen will be one of their big signings.

Can't see bayern paying the money. They've apparently baulked at the £70 million that city quoted them for Sane.

I must have seen about 20-30 twitter posts slamming people for giving Eriksen shit and saying how badly we are going to miss him, but I haven't actually seen a post yet of people calling him shit:LOL:. I think it's one of those where people ignore the 99% and focus on the 1% of posts.

There have been a lot of relaxed "we need freshening up anyway" type posts. And "we're not bothered because we're signing Lo Celso and Ndombele" type posts. And "1 year left on his contract we'll be lucky to get £40m for him" type posts. Those are the sentiments being objected to not only because they assume a lot regarding new signings but also because they underestimate what Eriksen brings to a team if they think he can be so easily replaced. Replacing players of his quality is never straightforward -as an example we sold Kyle Walker for big money two seasons ago and we're still miles off getting our RB position fixed.

I'll be very surprised if Real buy Eriksen.
God help him if they do as Real fans won't tolerate the performances he's put in this season.

Did Eriksen change his Facebook picture? I thought he wrote a Tottenham shirt in it

Yeah, he also changed his MySpace account to remove Poch from his top 8 friends list, and also his MSN messenger name, I'm sure it used to be ~°~ChRiStIaN~°~ErIkSeN~°~❤️SpUrS❤️ but now it's just ~°~ChRiStIaN~°~ErIkSeN~°~*LFT*

Best bit of business we could do is still to keep him.

I hope Real don’t want him and he can refocus with us.

Kinda disapointed he wants out. Or has he just said that he is generally open try something else at some point in his career but he would be happy to stay with spurs further?

Massive blow if we lose him.

I think Levy will persuade him to sign a new deal and give us another season. If he still wants to go next year then he goes with our best wishes and we get circa £80 million for him.
