Correction on my line up. Between O'Neil and Mason is David Hutton. I accidentally listed Danny Hutchins twice.

Let's get it straight I do not hate George Marsh. I hate the fact we've extended his contract cos he's shit and it's a complete waste of his time, the club's time and the club's money.
Not sure I see much of a difference between calling someone “shit” and not hating them. I have never seen Marsh play but he clearly isn’t “shit” when he has reach this level in Professional football. He may not be the next great thing but he can't possibly be “shit”.

I think this is getting very, very boring for everyone so let's move on please. Just for final clarity I do not hate a young man I've never met. I do think he's shit but in the context of Tottenham Hotspur FC. I'm sure he'd be pretty decent on a Sunday morning park pitch.

Stinks of a PR exercise from his camp to me some ridiculous praise tbh. His loan in Holland was nothing special. Although most dribbles and most fouled was interesting.

Even if it is a PR campaign, we sent him to a completely different environment where he turned it around and got his head down, he has admitted he has made mistakes, I'd like to see him get another opportunity with Spurs if he has the talent the club believed he had. He reckons he made mistakes with his contract, well lets give him a similar deal to sign again for an additional 2 years and see if he responds differently.

I think the ego had to be reined in a bit. He has always come across as aloof, unsmiling kind of unfriendly. Doesn’t seem like someone you can communicate with easily. He has a precocious talent but he’s 20 now. He needs to dig in and work harder if Spurs are going to give him another shot.

Heard that he was introverted and shy rather than it being ego. Although him turning up late to training while on loan didn't sound great.

I have no idea. Hope he can turn it around. It would be a shame if he can't.

What do you reckon we’d get for him if sold now £3/4m ? It’s so difficult because if he ended up in 4 years worth £50m I wouldn’t be surprised at all.

Would be amazing if he could turn it round at Spurs but he seems to be talking in the past tense about the club.

Probably right.

The optimistic part of me hopes that he could come back for pre-season and at least have a go. I think he'd offer something different to what we have - someone genuinely able to hold the ball at his feet and cause defenders to back off, even in the final third.

The more realistic part of me thinks his days are numbered

That's why if I was spurs Id give him an opportunity in pre-season and midway i'd get an additional 2 years on his deal. I'd say financially that's less of a risk than letting him go now and seeing him fulfil his potential.

In spite of some initial false dawns, i can't disagree with this. He has the talent to go somewhere, with the right set-up and backing and step up like Sancho. That may sound a bit ludicrous but did anyone think we'd be looking at this Sancho 18months ago? I didn't but perhaps i was a little blind as to just how capable he was.

Edwards is definitely capable. He has natural skill and balance that few players can develop if he can match that with some serious drive, you're looking at a decent player. Still too early to say how good he can be but the talent is there, it's always been there. Poch for me seems like a great fit but let's see this summer if the relationship is strong enough to build on for next year.

What's the plan from here though? I personally think we may need to consider a UK loan. I doubt that's the strategy but i think he'll want to keep playing and testing him here at Championship level would give him confidence.

I'd like to think the first scenario will be looked at but as you say it's a bit of a long shot that he goes from pre-season to 1st team impact.

My view on the latter would be a loan but we'll see. It won't be for the lack of support that if fails here IMO.

I’d say around time of U17 World Cup which is about 18 months Ago i probably saw sancho and Edwards on a level par. Maybe I was looking through Spurs tinted glasses but I don’t think there was much in it. Both obviously naturally gifted. The ironic thing is had Edwards stayed at Spurs this season and not gone on loan, with all the injuries he may well have got a chance and who knows what may have happened.

I think £3m-£4m is too low, look at Liverpool selling Solanke for £17m, asking for over £10m for the likes of Camacho, Wilson and Kent, selling Ibe for £15m. Chelsea too!

A player of his potential, homegrown, now with a full season of professional senior football in this current market is easily £10m+, same for me applies to Onomah.

I would want him to try a loan in England first, maybe in the Championship, keep him in London with Fulham, QPR or Brentford maybe, see how he fares, wouldn’t want to cut losses too early on someone who is insanely gifted.
