He's still only 24 years old so he's got time to consider his career and come up with a plan.

Either injuries are his problem, which means that he needs to go away and focus on getting healthy, or his talent level is Championship at best, which means he should pursue a career at that level of the game.

However I do get the impression, perhaps wrongly, that he doesn't really care anymore. The fact that he didn't take the Brighton move and hasn't gone on loan since 17/18 indicates that he's happy to go through the motions and pick up a wage every week.

Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh, but that's the feeling I get.

He has been injured nearly all season or he would likely have been on loan in Turkey

Shocked he doesn’t have suitors in Holland

he might have suitors, but the salary he gets here are not paid to often over there. perhaps Ajax possibly his local team to where he lived PSV.

the only way I see him staying will be down to us not selling the players we need to sell after incomings, if he does stay I hope he gets his head down and takes the chance if it comes along to shut a lot of people up.

I could see him staying but not being named in the squad unless injuries force our hand after January again. He doesnt seem have any interest in him, unfortunately

he never went on loan last summer because he was injured and needed surgery. he returned before the winter window but could only play U23's to get any match time, so no one took a chance in the January window.

due to injuries most of the last 2 seasons, not really been in the shop window to get interest. if we can't sell him we will have to loan him out, or if it means using him enough to put him in the window for January in the CoC and he performs and takes his last chance like Sissoko, then no one knows

There's a reason he's still with us, he's not very good and nobody wants to buy him.
He's not good enough for Spurs, has major confidence and has had injury issues as well as probably falling out with the manager.

He's not a bad player however - was quality in the Eredivisie and at national level (albeit briefly). I'd have thought his wage demands and injury issues are probably putting Dutch suitors off.

I don't think he's a bad player though.

Refusing that Brighton loan has killed his career. Absolutely idiotic to turn down the chance of regular PL football after the disastrous first season he had with us.

Yes, it's The Sun, but there's a snippet about VJ hidden in a story about Poch and a jetski.

Pochettino will also be relaxed about Schalke reviving their interest in striker Vincent Janssen.

The Bundesliga club failed to land the Holland forward on loan in January.

But they are weighing up another offer for the 25-year-old, who featured in just three Spurs games last season.

Clubs in Belgium and China have also expressed an interest in Janssen, who cost Tottenham £17million from AZ Alkmaar in 2016.
...
He has just 12 months left on his deal and, while Spurs wanted £12m for him in January, the 17-cap striker could now go for much less.
