Multiple reports in Spain have been that Zidane does not want Eriksen, and would want Ndombele if he can't get Pogba

Multiple reports have also said that Eriksen is their fall back option for Pogba and that Ndombele is their third choice.

Zidane would probably push for Ndombele (French international) over Eriksen if reports are to be believed. We need Pogba to go to Madrid.

All this going around in circles is funny.

My opinion on this is that we're the only team to make a meaningful offer for NDombele this window. Juve, Man City, Madrid etc.. have possibly been asked to be kept informed of developments but none of them are willing to bid what Aulas is expecting - so that only leaves us. Levy is obviously not going to bid what Aulas wants but he will get close and in the end, once he Lyon realise their hopes of a bidding auction won't materialise they'll accept our bid and we'll all live happily ever after.

With our transfer record I wouldnt be too surprised to see NDombele, Lo Celso and Eriksen lining up all together next season.

For Real.

If anyone fancies a good laugh, have a read of this on Redcafe:

http://www.redcafe.net/threads/tanguy-ndombele.443444/page-21

my highlight:

[in response to a Spurs fan who said playing for OGS is not appealing, as they doubt Ndombele has even heard of him]

He has never heard of our Manager? Behave, Ole is more decorated as a player than any former Spur you can mention and just to rub it in he has won titles as a manager also which when I last checked the specialist in runners up medals running your club has never done.

So, just from recent memory, that would be:

Gareth Bale: four-time Champions League winner
Luka Modric: Also four-time Champions League winner and current holder of the Balon D'or
Fernando Llorente: literally won fucking everything
Hugo Lloris: Captained his side to a World Cup Win.

They slaughter us for not winning trophies, then have the audacity to use the fact OGS won the Fridge Raiders, in association with Lonsdale velcro strap trainers Norweigan League trophy as an arguing point.

That's what I was just saying though. There are reports that Ndombele is second choice. There are reports that Eriksen is second choice - I was listening to one of the big football podcasts this morning and they believed Eriksen was the plan B. No one actually knows which reports to believe.

I hear what you are saying but all those ex-spurs players won trophies with other clubs...OGS won it all as player with United.

Lloris winning the World Cup still trumps Ole though. It’s just a stupid argument to make, regardless.

United seem to think players would automatically choose them over everybody else. Their arrogance winds me up, and I would’ve thought they’d learn that isn’t the case after the last summer they had where they missed out on literally every transfer target they had.

Totally agree...point he was probably trying to make was that if you think of OGS you think of United and when fans (most non-spurs fans) think of Modric/VDV etc they associate them with Madrid not us....not that we care...players like that will always be legends to ourselves.

It’s going to take United fans a long time to accept their fall from grace. Just look at Liverpool for 25 years.

A lot of their fans weren’t even born when Ferguson took over at Old Trafford.

Yes they’re still a big club with a lot of brand appeal and huge financial clout. But they’re also a team who now have a reputation for ditching managers even when they’re winning things, and crucially favouring prima donnas like Paul Pogba over managers like Jose Mourinho who won them a League Cup, Community Shield and Europa League in the same season. That approach doesn’t appeal to a lot of players.

Compound that with the fact they’ve no team cohesion and half the time play like they’ve never met before and suddenly Manchester United really aren’t the club they once were.

Everything about them says they’re going backwards.

Not to mention the recent reports that Eriksen flat out rejected their approach.

Man United Liverpool are big clubs. I just don’t get why any Spurs would get into arguments with them you can’t win classic was let’s all laugh at Liverpool threads.

No matter what (we) you say they’ll always have the bragging right because they have more current medals to back it. Until we win trophies we need to humble ourselves.

I think it is reasonable to assume Pochettino is a greater draw than the baby faced assassin but what isn't clear is whether or not Spurs are a better option than United. At the moment I think we are not least because nobody can have any faith in IGS still being there this time next year. That said United are still United and can shower players with gold. Personally I think we have a window of opportunity and Ndombele will enter through it.
