I do support England and hope they win the world cup but ive always fuckin loved New Zealand when it comes to cricket. Always root for them (except for when it impacts England).

Stephen Fleming was and still is my fave cricketer and I know shit about cricket.

Proper test for England this, let’s hope we don’t have one of our batting brain farts...

Already have haven't we... 24-2.... I'm not convinced by Malinga's bowling action though - seems to be a wrist flick there!

We’ve always got a performance like this in us and it’s happening far too often at just the wrong time.

Not convinced at all by Vince either.

I was saying the other day that I thought a weakness for England was the amount of dot balls and inability to rotate the strike at times. This is a game where it's been shown up a bit in my opinion. Yes it's been a bowlers day, but quite a lot of them just cant manoeuvre and release pressure and keep the score ticking. In pressure World Cup games you wont always be able to smash it all round the park.

Stokes has just got to be brave and tee off now. Even one big over can change things up again.

Well done Sri Lanka.
England won’t sadly make it to the semis.
Oz and India will best them.

How have we contrived to lose that?

How can we still not work out Malinga after all these years?

Moeen neds to shoulder some blame there, it was pretty easy going until he decided on a nothing shot down the ground.

Pressure must be on Bairstow too Roy can't come back soon enough.

Wonderful game.
Almost proper cricket .
Low score thriller (as they say)
The short format adds tension but the pitch
and some terrific bowling has undone England.
Some unneccesary bish bosh bosh thew it away.

Roy is a sad miss, hope we get him back.
We are the the fourth best team so we may just scrape in.
Some soul searching is required from a few.

Horror show from England. Totally took the run chase for granted, and gifted wickets. Mo Ali's dismissal, summed up the chase really - just hit a six, only has to milk the rest of the over, but decides to hit it down the fielder throat, shocking decision.

We're in a bit of trouble for the semis now, the 3 toughest games left, and we may need to win a couple of em.

Obviously they didn't chat about anything they had seen while they were bowling. Angelo Mathews showed how fucking awkward that surface was to time and get value for their shots.

The three top teams to come now and they need at least two wins out of the three to be sure.

Not good.

As for who will qualify or not I have no idea but what I am going to say has nothing to do with today.
At my school if you bowled the way Malinga does you would have been thrown out of practice let alone a match and I know he has retired but Muri was a chucker and I cannot bring myself to watch cheats so I have always given Sri Lanka cricket a wide birth in the Malinga/Muri years . Its not sour grapes its just I was brought up to play the game differently and see these or those two as bowling cheats.

Saw that coming when vince decided to get out in his usual way.
We’re flat track bullies, take nothing away from SL as they’ve had two NR’s as well so to be two points off supposedly the best team since sliced bread says it all.
