Very good ITK from Ali Z and Breezer.

Seems like Ndombele is to Poch what Van Dijk was to Klopp. Fantastic if we seal this deal against huge competition.

Zaha is an interesting one. If Eriksen stays maybe it would be better to use the money set aside for Lo Celso on a top class attacker. Son, Kane, Zaha would be a deadly lineup to face. I suspect in the end Palace will be too awkward to deal with, but can see why we'd look at it. Either player would round the squad off.

Also good to hear that some outgoings are progressing well.

Lovely update. If we got Ndombele, Clarke and the Sessegnon, with Eriksen and Toby staying, then we’d have sorted out CM, brought in some very exciting attacking potential and addressed our HG issues pretty much. We’d have depth and variety. More would be nice, but with no holes in the squad as such it would be understandable if it became one in one out after that (eg if Dier/ Wanyama/ Llorente/ Lamela move).

Also it sounds like the right back spot will be sorted once trippier has gone with one of the players we’ve been linked to. I know nothing of the Norwich guy but he’s been the most heavily linked.

Great news that some outs are progressing too.

I think Zaha would try force the move this summer, cant see him wanting to stay at Palace for another season.

The ITK literally says no news on an incoming RB!!

Doesn’t sound like Lo Celso is bring chased anymore- maybe further proof that Eriksen is staying

Yeah, it's gone a bit quiet on him hasn't it. The Eriksen info would seem to suggest it's one or the other, which has always made sense IMO

Interesting that the Sess x 2 is back on the cards - it's changed over time as to whether it's one or both.

Can see the logic in Toby sticking around, though I reckon he's on the downswing and it'll be a shame not to get a fee. I'm also concerned that relying too much on him and Verts this season, only to have them both go next summer, could be a big risk

More from Ali:

Unless Lamela goes, Poch likes certain numbers in his squad, can't say I agree but I don't think we get Lo Celso unless somebody goes.

And with regards to the player (although as stated it's only his opinion):

please notice THINK it's Bale, just because pf previous info and circumstances, no idea how it would be done.

Re: Lo Celso - i.e. needs an exit before he comes...this was so obviously going to be the case. I'm amazed anyone thought differently

Re: Bale - I just don't see it for so many reasons, nor Zaha. I think the opportunity cost of spending that amount of money on a late 20s AM, when we have several and need to spend elsewhere, is too high.

I also think we should try and flog Lamela personally, but that's just my personal opinion

Makes sense, gotta remember that Clarke and Sess will be coming into the attacking reckoning. That’s two extra players in the attacking remit that knocks Lamela down the chain. Replacing him squad wise with a better player who is more flexible, younger and better physically would only be a great move.

Yeah, unfortunately I didn’t buy the whole getting Lo Celso in and Eriksen staying. Although I really wanted to believe it, because as much as I want Eriksen to stay, going into another season without any competition for him is a big mistake imo. He needs to be pushed and we need more creativity.

Agree about Lamela also.

Maybe if we would have gotten a proper fee for Toby. For 25m I'd definitely rather to have him stay another year, he's worth much more than that to us. Him and Jan are too good and could be absolutely crucial in achieving our goals. Will also give Sanchez extra time to grow into the role, for Foyth to develop, and for us to identify possible CB targets if needed (which doesn't seem to be the focus this summer).

If we don't sign Lo Celso this window he will be the "Isco" for years to come. Now is our chance and we shouldn't risk missing out imo.

It’s counter to what Herc has been saying though and the fact we clearly lack creativity in the squad
